FAA chief Michael Whitaker testifies before Congress after Boeing 737 Max-9 blowout - 2/6/2024
i hope boeing doesn’t forget his bonus come at end of the year
ATC & AIRLINE PILOT PROBLEMS
One of the major problems that ATC faces, which the FAA does not address, is that the retirement age for controllers could be raised without safety being compromised.
This would retain experienced controllers in post and address the shortages there are.at the moment.
An additional issue relates to pilot shortages. This is due to the action of Congress, taken post the Colgen Air accident, where the minimum hours for a pIlot seeking employment with the airlines was increased to 1500 hours.
The FAA should be taking this back to Congress.

Safety always has to be the number one priority in aviation…there should never be any shortcuts to achieve that goal.
Nope, with Boeing it did not, not any more since the 737 max series.
congress should arrange form ssa-455 social security administration disability update to be send out by email relieving millions from the worry of affording housing just to be able to receive the form in order to maintain benefits
