Happy New Year Sauron! We had a front row seat of the fireworks on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok from our 24th floor apartment. It was spectacular :)

Hey, i'm planning to be in Bangkok for NYE 2025 and i'm just looking for some guidance on where to stay/book to get a similar view. Is Ari a good location for this? And I am guessing I should look at a balcony with a river facing view :) Thank you for any info, appreciate it.
We stayed at an Airbnb in the Baan Sathorn Chao Praya condos. It didn't have a balcony, but it had huge windows facing the river. There was an even bigger fireworks display over by the Icon Siam Shopping Mall, but we couldn't see it from our place. Yes it was spectacular, we stayed in the Baan Sathorn Chao Phraya Condominiums, so I think the only way you could get this view would be to rent one of the apartments. ICON Siam has some even better views of the fireworks, same with from the King Taksin Bridge. You just have to go really early to get a spot.

With all the concern people express over air, land and water pollution (caused by fireworks) - plus the loud noise that scares humans, animals and birds alike, it is disturbing to see they're still being used, instead of lasers or drones - which make awesome light shows without the "pretty poison", as I have heard fireworks referred to. Humans may SAY they care for the environment, but their actions too often don't show it:(
@@TakeTimeToTravel I have only seen shows with drones or lasers in videos. They are spectacular! Hope fireworks shows will be illegal someday, but that's likely not to happen any time soon:( Take care - hope you are having fun and keeping warm. We got 30 cm of snow here last night!
