I see your rear bumper is cracked. Mine actually came that way, but I bought it as an open box in 'like new' condition for just over half of retail on Amazon. No idea if it was that way or happened in shipping, but for that price, no big deal. Everything else flawless so far. Wheel hubs came protected, kit came zip tied down inside the box, and everything was factory sealed. I just used some CA glue to fix the bumper, which discolored it a bit, but honestly I want to bash it around a bit and see what parts break a lot and what holds together better. I already ordered a new engine from O'Neil Brothers, which I'll swap out after I've had some time running it stock first.
Hey word of advice! go to local hardware store buy new bolts about 2mm longer and put a lock washer on that pipe where it mounts to the motor block! Those bolts like to walk out and strip out your blocks mounting holes!
lol never noticed you put pipe support in wrong place to. Should be on the head side of that bolt then through the shock tower. where you have it it binds the shocks!
When I put the pipe on I had to bend it because I couldn't get the the back shock support bar to line up so I ran the eng hot and had to mold it at the curve of the pipe . And it sound great so aft four day of play the the fat end of the pipe broke off...
A better way to keep the exhaust in place it to take the bolts out, and get some studs, and use nuts. Easier to tighten, and less chance of them backing out due to vibration. Blue LocTite doesn't work real well with heat, but the Red LocTite is better.
What sid you use for the exhaust gasket? The one included or rtv? If that bracket to hold the pipe is not installed the bolts will break loose. Im running a tuned pipe for a buggy and not my exact car redcat chimera but my exhaust bolts keep coming loose because there is no bracket to hold the end of it to the car. Do you think loctite and rtv will work?
copper coat all your gaskets all surfaces let dry for ten minutes then assemble use lock tight red on metal parts use super glue on plastic parts coat heavely and don't mess around work fast one screw at a time or the glue will keep you from tighten up the bolts
Hello, I have a Redcat Rampage MT like yours and I was adjusting the high n low pins when is was accelerated and just shut off on me and didn't want to start back on, So I thought it was the spark plug or the ignition plug so I got these 2 new parts and still doesn't start back up I even took the carburetor and clean and got new fuel lines for it and still nothing. Does ANYONE knows what could be the problem is?
Travis Dutton I have a video coming today on the power difference and sound example. Definitely more power but had some problems with engine and weather so I have not been able to do any full on bashing with it yet either way much better even with just this cheap pipe.
its designed to send a sonic wave back into the exhaust port to force unburnt fuel back into the combustion chamber, therefore making it more fuel efficient and gives it much better throttle response and power
+Pay Paul Some others have said the same but I have never had any issues with mine. I don't normally jump mine or roll it though like my other r/c cars.
This pipe is not a good investment. The pipe will only last for about 10 hours run time before the aluminum in the first bend gets so thin that it cracks. Once that happens you have about 30 minutes before it cracks completely off. You're better off buying one at DDM for yes almost 3 times the price but will last forever.
Steve Rooney We shall see I will be lucky to get 10hrs of run time on this truck a year I was looking at the others but decided on this one to start off with.
I actually stopped supporting redcat now at my rc club in nc sc. Cause they are selling parts now with faulty parts knowingly. Sadly these pupes tend to crack where they weld them. And you actually need chrome lock washers to stop the bolts frombwalking out. Even red loc tite failed. They sell the mt and mt pro with bad 15kg servos. If you have yellow round sticker its from a bad batch! Xt comes with bad pull starts and xte and xbe are all having escs fires. They take there non water proof esc and dip it in polymer then slap heat sink on and plastic box. 90% fail. So very dissapointed in redcat with there 1/5 scales now. I owned 23 redcats at one point ebay took care of that problem lol. Losi mt style truck i got now more $$$ so worth every dime. Spend more time having fun then taking apart my model after few runs like my redcats. Traxxis emaxxx..... first time run one of those after this truck your wife will probably leave you for the mail man lol
Ive had alot of issues with all my redcats as well.....customer service is complete joke, especially a rep named CJ. I was going to get another electric but decided to get a gas 2 stroke 1/5th scale......Ill stay away from redcats, imho, hpi or losi for the win in the 5th scale :)

+Rich Morgenstein Agreed with all that vibration I used loctitie in the end.

I put same pipe on my XT, works great

How’s the quality of the rampage?

no locktite?
LETS GET OUT AND
TRY IT

Dude! Where's the red loctite? No wonder they keep backing out on you.
Steve Rooney Well I never loctited the factory muffler no, I figured they would have done that but on this pipe I used blue Loctite yes.

Are these exhaust bolt spacings a smaller distance than a pocket bike engines exhaust bolt spacings?
What size is the bolt that goes through the shock to put the bracket on for the back of the muffler
I got mine on ebay for $45 sorry to say it actually reduced power.
I had to bend the pipe to make it fit also the support would not fit if I didn't
Where can I find the wheels ?

R/C CUSTOM you probably ran it to lean and scartch the pist9n and cylinder
Spark is grounded
Hello do you have the monster truck body for it ???
I'm about to order a pipe for my MT. What did you think about the power after the pipe? Does it effect the body in any way?
Travis Dutton I have a video coming today on the power difference and sound example. Definitely more power but had some problems with engine and weather so I have not been able to do any full on bashing with it yet either way much better even with just this cheap pipe.
Ok great thank you
hi bro! I read on the redcat forum that such aluminum pipes melt, did you have such a problem?
Whats the purpose of the tuned pipe upgrade? Is it to reduce noise?
its designed to send a sonic wave back into the exhaust port to force unburnt fuel back into the combustion chamber, therefore making it more fuel efficient and gives it much better throttle response and power
My pipe broke in 3 place's while doing break in. Not very good construction.
Did you have to tune the motor after you put on the pipe?? And what is your gas to oil mix
+Pay Paul Yes its a good idea I waited till the pipe was on as the backpressure is different now. I use the stock normal oil mixture.
+R/C Addict Makuloco ... If you don't mind do you remember exactly what you did
You would likely have to turn the high speed needle out slightly, to richen the mixture a little.
Ever heard of cleaning?
Hey man my pipe broke after four drives
+Pay Paul Some others have said the same but I have never had any issues with mine. I don't normally jump mine or roll it though like my other r/c cars.
❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊. ไฟแอดพ์. ???
