Thank you for the informative video. Can you please tell if I can use Crucial P5 Plus M.2 2280 1TB PCI-Express 4.0 x4 NVMe 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CT1000P5PSSD8? How to transfer data from old SSD to new?

Thank you for your feedback! If you wish to support the channel, you can like, subscribe, or both!
Regarding your question, sure you can place that m.2 nvme in there even a 2TB without any issue, amzn.to/3MrsUXP
also if you want to clone your ssd to the new ssd you will need to get this adapter: amzn.to/3s83sQr
and plug in your new NVME into this adapter and then use a cloning program and clone your main ssd to this and then replace them.
the cloning program we use: Macrium Reflect
Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.

    Hi there,
My Dell G7 7588 came with only a 256GB SSD. A few years ago, I added a 1TB HDD, so now I have both. However, I notice a significant difference when I install games or programs on the HDD. I'm wondering what's better: replacing the 256GB SSD with a larger one or swapping the HDD for an SSD. It seems easier to swap the HDD for an SSD and have two SSDs, but I'm not sure if there's any special reason why increasing the SSD from 256GB to a larger capacity would be better.

Regarding your question, i would recommend you to replace the HDD with SSD and you will see a significant performance boost on programs and games loading from it. also if you place a bigger SSD m.2 you will achieve a faster speed and longer life from a ssd.
Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.

Thanks for your fast respond. I'm looking to upgrade my Dell G7 7588 with an internal SSD, specifically the Samsung 980 PRO 1TB PCIe NVMe Gen4 for gaming (MZ-V8P1T0B). However, I'm uncertain about its compatibility with my laptop.
According to the specifications listed on Dell's website, compatibility is stated for:
      - A 2.5-inch SATA AHCI hard disk drive (HDD) with speeds up to 6 Gbps, up to 2 TB
      - A 2.5-inch SATA AHCI hybrid solid-state drive (SSHD) with speeds up to 6 Gbps, up to 1 TB
      - An M.2 2280 SATA AHCI solid-state drive (SSD) with speeds up to 6 Gbps, up to 128 GB
      - PCIe 3 x4 NVME with speeds up to 32 Gbps, ranging from 128 GB to 1 TB
From what I've gathered online, the PCIe reference appears to be for a Gen 3, while the Samsung 980 Pro is Gen 4.
I'd greatly appreciate your assistance in confirming whether the Samsung 980 PRO 1TB SSD is compatible with my Dell G7 7588 before proceeding with the purchase. My knowledge of computers is quite limited, and I want to ensure compatibility before making the investment.
Thank you in advance for your help.

      It's my pleasure my friend.
NOW please ignore all those false info that dell has posted!
even if you call them they will tell you something that is not true.
we have upgraded this laptop for clients without any issues.
YOU can place a 4TB SSD 2.5" samsung without any issues.
      amzn.to/3I70EYc
YOU can AT the same time have a 4TB nvme (single sided chip), Gen 3 (but if you place a gen 4 it will work just fine just as speed of gen 3)
      amzn.to/3SOsddF
or get a good reliable nvme up to 2TB samsung 980 pro:
      amzn.to/3uE4RiK
NOTE you can only have up to 2TB HDD 2.5' low profile, anything over 2TB hdd is thicker and won't fit.
      cheers🍻

is there a difference between the standard nvme ssd drive and the nvme heatsink ssd drive?

Thank you for your feedback! If you wish to support the channel, you can like, subscribe, or both!
Regarding your question, there is absolutely no difference in performance just the durability will be extended by very small margin, and you can't install a nvme with a regular heatsink on this laptops.
Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.

I have put a 2TB ssd in place of the standard SATA drive. When I boot up, and look an 'My PC' I only see the 128GB NVME, and the new 2TB SSD, I do not see the 1TB NVME drive. What am I missing?

you will need to go to "disk manager" and activate the drive and format it and it will show up.

Hi , can I replace my SSD with Samsung 980 ? As I can’t find 980 pro. Or with WD SN770 ? SN580 ? ? Will it work ? Also after I replace the SSD can I use recovery and back up instead of clone system? Thank you

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  Před 8 dny +1

You can use any model or brand as long as it is NVME, WD nvme, samsung nvme, will all work fine.
after you replace you will need to install windows from usb boot drive i made videos on how to create windows usb and how to install, cloning i do not recomment.
