  • Follow us as we check-out railfanning hot spots around Omaha and all the way to North Platte, Nebraska. There is plenty of coal, high speed, triple track, pacing, and even hump yard action in this video. Filmed on location March 29 - April 1, 2013. Enjoy!

North Platt is the greatest hot stop for rail fanning, even from the Golden Spike Tower..

I live right by the BNSF interchange in Omaha and I often see the caboose at the end of the trains

You know what would be a great series of train videos? One that would show each commodity being loaded and unloaded by the railroads.

Holy shit that shot at Gibbon blew my mind. I just thought it was a Westbound Z train, then BAM! Outta nowhere we get someone from Marysville joining the triple track at full speed.

Great camera work! I love the way you pull out from an XCU to a WS revealing your actual distance. Sweet! What type of camera and lens are you using?
