Why is it nobody runs at tract speed

Great layout of one of my most favorite railroads. I’m an N scaler, my model railroad is the Pacific West Coast model railroad. My railroad will cover & focus on the entire West Coast from Tijuana,Baja California Norte to Vancouver, British Columbia,Canada & it will cover the last 25 years of the 20th. Century from August 22, 1974 when I arrived in San Diego for duty aboard my second ship in the Navy and all the way to the end of 1999.

Being originally from Minnesota I've always liked Burlington Northern including the colors & logo. Too bad Burlington Northern & Santa Fe are one which I don't know when the merger happened but needless to say I see BNSF here in Lubbock, Texas.

BLMA was a hot topic back in those days. I loved their reefer cars!

The mixed use of bridge types and rock formations make this very real as it feels like the train is really traveling across the country.

And just like that, they vanished.

YEAR2020 the best cars to be found. KEEP THE BOX!!!

Put the bicentennial engine with two sd40-2’s on a big mixed freight of 70 cars

Run both trains together and put the BN caboose at the end

Very good job on this layout. I especially like the crossing gates, they move at a realistic speed and the flash pattern is spot on. Keep up the good work and always have fun doing it.

Had a friend who worked for Burlington Northern out of Gillette, WY. and he said he was the engineer on the bicentennial unit once. I'm not familiar with SDP40s. Were they used for passenger duty? Unreal layout and love those BN F-units.

Union Pacific said that there planning to do a double track on 1 line and that it going do more improvements for more train travel and stuff

Last time two ess44ac Union Pacific trains with the Union Pacific pass by that was carrying green cars it was 3 crossing long it was unbelieve that I see this in my lifetime even that switchers pass by but never see one of these
