As a villa fan we've experienced something similar and it's not just the manager. We had a chairman who lost interest in the club and it got us relegated. From playing in Europe and being one of the 7 teams who had never been relegated from premiership, to relegation in the space of 3/4 years. Changed about 4/5 managers, same results. Unless you change from top to bottom it makes no difference who the manager is. Look at us now with the new owners and manager, along with a new director of football. Any villa fan will tell you this is the best times we've had in 10 years
