full digital art process ✍️ procreate drawing from start to finish

Welcome! ✨ In this video I'll show you my digital art process from start to finish. I use the digital illustration app Procreate on my iPad.
In the drawing video you can see the speedpaint, but the full drawing process took me about an hour. You can slow down the video if you want to.
I felt so rusty after the holidays so I started with a 'simple' warm up sketch. It didn't feel simple... hahaha. When I want to get back into drawing after a break, I always try to just draw and don't lose myself in all the details. Just finish the drawing and do better next time.💪

This was very cute, I only wish we could have heard you talk about the process as u worked, as a beginner all I’ve been doing is searching CZcams for a step by step to follow along with so I know which brushes to use and when to change layers and opacity etc. all in all great job

Is there a way to make regular faces instead of cartoon faces? If that’s all you can do with digital art, I’m gonna give my apple pencil back. Just got it. I don’t mind caricatures but would like to know if real is possible?

@@danielvitolo2595 Sure, you can create realistic art with the Apple Pencil. It depends on your own style what you make with it. Essentially, anything you can create on paper, you can also create digitally. For example, search for digital realistic portrait drawing.

Love your style! What default brushes did you use?

Thank you so much! For this drawing I used the sketch brushes by Karoline Pietrowski. But the Procreate brushes I really like are the '6B Pencil' for the outline and color, '2B Compressed' or 'Soft Brush' for blush and the 'Bonobo Chalk' brush for the shadows and highlights. I hope this answers your question.
