Nicely explained mate as per usual. It's a welcome program tried and tested with the mighty D to great effect. Its nice the D2 has so many preset programs and great XP incorporated the Mono which enables users to replicate the Sonar. Catch you soon.
Cheers Paul, we have proved many times that the Sonar program is unbeatable on your ancient sites.
Great program really woke up my detecting. Had an awesome afternoon. One early Spanish silver and a 1787 chain cent.
Really hitting deep.
Thanks for your feedback Robert 👍🤝
A young lad speaking better English than my nonexistent polish… 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I love my ORX because of all the info and feedback I get from it being sparky. I also use my equinox as well. Each has a place I suppose. Keep up the great work Gary, enjoyed watching. Cheers Jon.
Thanks Jon, appreciate your thoughts 👍🤝
Gary, Thank you for your video! 👍
Thank you for watching 👌
@@The-skillschool Gary, I think that Deus 2 is the best metal derector. But, may be you know when the XP will do new update for Deus 2?

Hey Gary, i use sonar on 1of most trash Field near to city, everybody told me this Field ends like 10years ago.. Still digging hammered coins(little ones) 🤠 sonar rock 🤘 rly good job with this program, thanks 🤝
Thanks Jerry 🤝👍
Hello, thanks for the video
Good information. Every time try and learn a new possibilities of D2
Thank you for watching 👍🤝
Cheers Gary my favourite program I’ll be putting that in the d2 tonight thanks again 👌
Cheers Brian, Deus Mono is there, why not use it if needed 🤝👍
@@The-skillschool please get the ultimate 2 going. ;-)
Sonar is working very well on the d2 like it was on he d1...sometimes getting fooled by iron but thats the way it is, spade is the best discriminator ;) i'm running sonar with reactivity 2.5 and silencer 0
Cheers
Thanks GC great feedback 👍🤝
My personal fav settings in a single freq mode are: Freq at around 25. Full tones, disc at zero. I want to hear all the iron, but not the ground noise. Silencer at 1, reactivity between 1,5 and 3, depending on the amount of (iron)trash. So far never felt the need to go faster than 3. I find that full tones is smoother and more clear in a single freq mode, as opposed to the SMF mode. I would love it when XP would bring a small elliptical coil for the D2, same size like the elliptical HF for the D1. 👍
Great info thanks Vince 👍🤝
Salut gary sa fait plaisir de vous revoir vous êtes le maître 👨🏫 bravo à vous 🤝 j’espère avec la traduction vous allez me comprendre et à la prochaine vidéo ✋
Looking forward to using this on my iron field !!!
Thanks DC 🤝👍
Knee Pads! Ouch Ouch! Rocks.
Your coins are fabulous!
My knees are ruined
@@The-skillschool In Arizona... knee pads are standard issue in the goldfield because of cactus and because the ground is so hard and because of rocks!
Hello Garry, thank you for your sonar program, too bad the video is not subtitled... so I'll watch it other times.. Have a nice day. Toch, Gironde, France
It will be subtitled later today
Thanks Gary.
Thanks for watching
Happy to have the Sonar program in my D2 too, thanks Gary :)The coin that the young fella found is actually 1/2 or 1/4 Spanish real. Hmmm, interesting ;)
Thanks for the ID Luis 👍🤝
👍🏻☺️
RE Hello Gary, having found a very polluted plot of small ferrous but which I think have beautiful targets, I just took your SONAR program to try, I will see, because it seems to have a good stability in your video .. Have a nice day, Alex and Toch
Good luck, happy to help, please keep me posted 🤝👍
ok Gary I will tell you and compare with a program to me starting from the Fast too.. Thank you
It’s beautiful to see
Thank you
just been out with this programm today and must say i was really getting into it i loved the way i was reading the ground unfortunally no finds of relivance with it yet lacking depth a tiny bit even with sens 99 and reactivity dropped down but still a good depth but when switching to my other programms i decided i love the feedback from this mode other my other programs
i need to work on this profile see if i can get slightly more depth but really loved it i wish i had found somthing nice with it as i would probably feel liek i dont need to alter it
Thank you sir for the fantastic feedback 👍🤝
Thank you Gary
You are welcome my friend.
May be I need to make some free time and come up to UK and dig with Gary some day.
I think that watch has had its time Gary .
Nice cut half .
Thanks Richard
Great video. Cheers !!
Thanks TE 🤝
D2 also adds a few enhancements like frequency scan to these great D1 programs.
I found that with single frequency sometimes you can find targets that multi-frequency will not find and will act like it isn't there 👍🦀
Thanks for your thoughts 👍
I use this on my D2. Great on my roman sites.
Thanks for the feedback Rob
I want to know why my machine. (Brand new) is the opposite way round to yours? So when i try and follow the instructions, you go left button but mines on right etc. Got it in the end though
I use the Goldmaxx power on the Deus 2. Works even better than my Deus 1.
Thanks for your feedback 🤝
@@The-skillschool no worries.
Gary excellent video as always well done 👍
I’m really pleased you did this video on the Deus mono, it certainly does have its use especially in high EMI areas, I’ve been using it lots,,, as one of my favourite sites has a mobile phone/TV transmitter beside it, so mono is perfect for this type of environment.
I especially love the fact that you can change the GB value in mono so easily,, my one wish is that the XP engineer’s could allow these changes also to the multi frequency programs as well,,,, the iron unmasking capabilities are so much better even set at 85 GB as opposed to the factory default of 87, In my opinion this would take the Deus II to an even higher level than it is now?
Thanks again, regards.
Dave.
Thanks Dave, Excellent info 🤝👍
@@The-skillschool Your more than welcome, appreciate your response!
Thanks
You are welcome
The cut half looks like a Henry 2nd tealby? Thanks for sorting out my headphones earlier, Gary. Cheers ;)
No worries Stephen, thanks for the ID 🤝
Yust my thoughts on single and multi frequency, multiple frequency running at the same time is a bit misleading, it starts with a dominent frequency followed by a logarithms, the old minelabs explorer etc, started with low dominent frequency, given the impression they were deeper, equinox runs quite the opposite high first, no dought great beach machines, but to jumbled for the old medieval or roman sites, its horses for courses gary, thats why i still use multiple machines have done for over 40 years, best detectorists need the ground feed back, signals can be very breif at best, no single frequency won't be finesd not by me, and neither will multi, keep up your promotion of such a great hobby, cheers best regards Stuart tired old detectorist
Thanks for your thoughts Stuart 👍👍
Hello Gary,,, I’ve been trying this program for several days,,,, one question,, is it my imagination or doesn’t the silencer work whilst using Sonar on the D2,, I’ve found that setting between 0 & 4 appears to make no difference.,,, thanks. Dave.
Also you can copy all the Deus 1 base programs like GMP or GMAXX and bring them to the Deus 2.
Good call SS 👍
@@The-skillschool just need on the next update 6 or so extra slots. Can have all the Deus 1 base programs and have enough for D2 FMF. Win win.
What benefit is there to discriminating to -6.4 and then setting second tone break at 9? What makes that any different than using 2 tone and just setting the disc to 9?
Thanks for your thoughts.
For some reason it makes the machine more dynamic, perhaps it bypasses some filtering used with discrimination
That little y looking piece looks like a small version of the tongue from a fork and tongue buckle? Maybe it’s a miniature version like from a shoe buckle?
Thanks Jerry, that makes sense 🤝👍
personally after many tests I believe that the mono program on the deus 2 is less effective than the multi frequency programs ... I have not yet found a context where the mono program makes a difference, in terms of depth it is less deep with any frequency, even in the separation in the middle of iron or garbage is less effective than multi-frequency programs and this is really strange .... maybe I'm wrong ... but in what research context can the mono program make a difference?
As I mentioned in the video, Mono can be better for allowing ground feedback.
On this type of site, depth is not important.
Glad to hear you are enjoying the D2.
@@The-skillschool ground feedback is important but we need an extra "gear" to find good targets and the mono program doesn't seem to make a difference on the deus 2 ... for me it performs better with multi-frequency programs, the depth is just one of the advantages of multi-frequency programs
Gary, if they missed a target the size of a watch, that’s a good sign. You still like full tones or does Deus 2 still have some issues with full tones?
Full tones is OK on some sites.
Hi Gary, a few suggestions having recently bought a D2 because of the Fast Multi Frequency and lightness.
The good stuff is near habitation but so is the EMI. The D2 is very susceptible to EMI hence this video I would think.
There are only 7 frequency shifts compared to 19 on the Nox. Also the interference is much faster than normal signals in very fast audio pulses so should be possible to remove or smooth out. Has XP missed a trick there?. That would make a big difference.
Also by moving Discrimination below zero, tones can be set below zero which is a good feature.
But It would also be useful to notch below zero too.
Multi notch also confusingly labels the notch points as T.Break ?
I thought the individual tone loudness could be controlled like on the Nox but can’t find a way. Any help on that one?
Cheers 👍
Thanks for your thoughts
hi i bought deus 2 and i m happy,i have 1 question ,which program do you prefer to better understand if it is iron
The Fast program is good
is there anyway xp can make the deus 2 connect to the software on the pc and in the pc software have it so you can save your profiles to the software so if you update the firmware you can then load it back on ? it should be easy to do and would add another amazing feture
No that's not going to happen.
@@The-skillschool bit of a shame as could help set the foundations for the new orx etc etc but I suppose there working on an update to compete with the manticore
Thanks Gary. I use the Deus using the hot program because of all the info and feedback it gives. Sometimes I'll try out a different prog but most times have gone back to 'hot' before the end of the session. Does the Deus 2 have a multi-frequency 'hot' equivalent? Can the single-frequency hot program be created within Mono and if so could we see it in action please?
Thanks, ATB.
Thanks Neil
Sensitive FT is similar to the Hot program.
Yes you can install the original got into Deus Mono.
Good to know, thank you.

I've been using the mono program in high EMI areas. Works very well! Thanks Gary. Any news on when the next update is coming out?
Hi Greg, I have no news, but I'm sure the French are working on something.
Good video. It is great to see the kids out picking up the hobby. I love to take my girls out with me. My daughter just found her first silver ring and wheat penny. So 17K is a good coin frequency for the Deus 2?
Thanks for watching, yes 17khz is good for coins.
Great video, I'll add this but my go to on D1 is Ultimate program, so can you do that next, please.
Same principal just raise tone break to 10 and lower reactivity to 3.
Set 3rd tone to your choice..
All done, thanks Gary
Why tone break 9 ? Could it eliminate coke if set it to 25 cheers for the great video
Yes but you may miss small targets
not possible to have text with traduction in french😢😢😢😢😢😢
hello gary i am deus 2 user. There is something I want in the new version. I want it to be a threshold sound when traveling in 3 tones. like a bee buzz from below. The deus 2 is a different beast though buddy , why not just use the deus 1. ive got both and for the past 5 years the deus1 has been fantastic, now its the time to learn fmf , I honestly think the deus 2 will become the beast after they iron out the programs.

Great explanation but many of us cannot afford to spend another £ 1000 on Deus 2.
Your point is ?????
I drive a Pathfinder John as I can't afford a Discovery.
@@The-skillschool Just making the point that we all cannot just shell out over £1000 to upgrade our metal detectors and it will be even harder after the fuel increases kick in, Gary I would like to just see more of the practical aspects of actually detecting and the best methods of detecting rather than concentrating on the newest model Deus on the market.
