- After finding accidental success on CZcams by simply playing around with Mario plushies on camera, SML or SuperMarioLogan would lock himself into a position of unexpected godlike status and influence. However, in the process, SuperMarioLogan would be thrown hurdle after hurdle, making his rise to fame somewhat of a hellscape. Monetization issues, three deleted channels, problems with his girlfriend Chilly, a cease and desist letter from Nintendo, the list goes on. However, in the process, Logan Thirtyacre AKA SuperMarioLogan AKA SML has come out with one of the most loyal audiences in CZcams history.

Man, I’ve been watching SML since 2014. I remember Logan constantly uploading hospital updates and telling his viewers when his next holiday special was coming out. I look back at those old videos from 2013-2014, and I’m just like man, times were so much simpler then. I was in 4th grade back then and now I’m graduating high school. All of the controversies and drama yet SML is still going strong. This video is my favorite from sunny, and hit me harder than any other video. This video gives me a pure feeling of nostalgia. I still remember everything about SML, and they played a huge part of my childhood. Thank you SML, and thank you sunny for this video.

Such a damn shame. I have not seen his videos in quite some time, but this is so heartbreaking to hear. I actually made my CZcams account way back in the early days just so I could subscribe and follow his content. I even made some toy-based / puppeteering videos as a kid that were directly inspired by watching Logan. I hope all the best for him.
Logan is a human who just wants to succeed. The embodiment of determination and continuing to fight on even while suffering in his life. I don't watch SML anymore, but the amount of strength he has even after all the worse times he had in his life always amazes me.

Back somewhere in 2014, 2015 (as a dumb elementary schooler who liked plushies and all that), I began watching SML, and I really liked his content despite the dark humor in it. I even recreated the shrimp-liking Woody with both the shrimp and the Woody doll I had for a couple years. I haven't watched his content since around... 2016-2017 as I grew older, but I'm glad he's doing much better now. :)
Edit: I watched a lot of dark type plush content of stuff like this, Sonic, and just in general. One of the ones I vividly remember is all of these plushies trying to survive a zombie apocalypse with the leader being a skeleton.
It is so sad to think about how a man lost everything because of the mother not parenting her kids and monitoring their browser. I have been watching SML for about 5 years, almost 6 and I have noticed the downsides, but my parents allowed me to watch channels like that, but it is quite common for other parents not to allow it. I am still watching their videos til this day and I have been really entertained

bro this guys videos took up my childhood. I was legit about to start posting videos (and even did at one point) of me and my sisters playing with our stuffed animals because of what this guy created. So sad to see everything that has happened to him. I'm definitely one of those guys who preferred his 2008 style videos over the newer and more polished videos just because of how sentimental they are to me and my sister.

Hell, I’ve been a fan ever since “Shrimpo Hunter” was still an active series.
I stopped watching him a bit after the jeffy era started. It just didn’t feel the same.
I come back and this kind of stuff is what I see. It’s such a shame, really.
I have a bunch of respect for Logan for still holding on. I really do.
I've watched him since around 2009 and stopped a little after Jeffy appeared only watching his stuff on occasion. I then fully stopped when he replaced the characters with human puppets which would have been fine, but there designs just looked ugly.

The level of mellow-drama contained in the act of furiously destroying a house while graciously holding a camera to film yourself is comical, to say the least. 😂
In one hand I think Logan’s story of still making content despite being legally perused is really charming because he really is just making videos for fun, but in the other side there are those moments where we rewatch his content and see all of the content that really isn’t suited for kids, like slurs or racial jokes. I mean it is dark humor but there’s a separation from content and the person themselves that makes the content really fall apart here.
If parent's don't like kids watching the SML content then they shouldn't let them be on youtube without constant parental vision. More of the parents fault than the kids fault.

I think this is a case of: a young man getting success fast then learning his soon to be wife has cheated on him with some rando guy, and because he got successful quick he gets the idea to “get back at her” by sleeping with an expensive escort (he can pay for), then leaving her. And finding a better woman while still having some love for his original girlfriend causing turmoil ALL whilst trying to stay the same and keep his content the way he wants it during a period where comedy was undergoing massive change.

I’ve never watched his content but I always saw the SML logo. Sucks what happened to him on this site and in his personal life but his ability to push on is applauded. But the yellow dollar sign doesn’t mean fully demonetized it actually meant ‘partially monetized’ as in certain ads wouldn’t play on the videos but many youtubers didn’t understand that in the beginning when it started happening. You still get hit with it today just for saying the f-word within the first 30 seconds of a video, its weird AF. But having that on top of a age restriction basically means he started making a drastic fraction of what he was making before.

Gained about 2,000 subscribers from being in his sub box for a little bit, back when that was still a feature. I watched him for years, a decade. He's been a joke with my friends for 10 years. We love his content and everything. He inspired many others including me. SML is a example of how much the internet ages and changes, It gone from really offensive humour you won't get called out for then into Kid Friendly humour noone laughs at anymore
The humour on that channel has barely changed and is in fact literally being advertised to children

some of his characters like “black yoshi” or “cody” or more characters might have some of his audience (which consists of little kids) will absorb whatever information from those videos and will have a negative perception on people of color and non-straight people (especially their peers) and might end up saying the wrong thing and using stereotypes. and it seems that his content is still the same. just rebranded into different character designs.

I really pity Logan. All he wanted was to make adult-humored content with puppets and plushies, but because of some irresponsible karen's pathetic parenting skills and CZcams's inability to understand dark humor, his entire career went down the drain.

Well realistically, This Channel has mostly always been aimed at Other Children since 2007.
Now granted some videos Logan intended to be for adults strictly, but generally, the Fanbase has been made of Children ever since 2007, the beginning. The other children Logan's age who were into Mario.
The videos did contain some mildly sensitive humor, but it wasn't very impactful on the children watching. They just saw it as a Joke, just one that you wouldn't want to say to someone in real life.
Ever since the beginning Children watch things not intended for their age, The majority of us did this especially.
But i feel like the parents concerned blew it out of proportion. Sure they may pick up something from the videos that aren't considered good, But that's really not to worry about, because it's not something that will shape their futures and taste. Unless it's teaching them something harmful like the suicide jokes.
But that's kind of what the Media does. They One side a story, and Blow something out of proportion because one guy did something.
Its also Nintendo, with him going to get sued if he keeps posting with Nintendo characters

I used to watch his stuff right up until about 2015, looking back on it now, I have very fond memories watching his stuff
Even during the darkest times in my life, Logan’s videos somehow made me smile and laugh. I will always be grateful to him.

Sml was my childhood the amount of fantastic videos made over the years I found them at 10,000 subscribers and knew they were gonna be big some day it broke my heart seeing the stuff Logan and the crew had to go through but just seeing them happy and succeeding you can learn a lot from them about never giving up and keep sticking with your dream
Feel bad for Logan, He went from being a kid making Mario videos to a Grown Man from making controversial videos into Family Friendly non-nintendo videos.

sml is my childhood and witnessed every part of his career even though a lot of terrible things have happened during his career he is still thriving today being one of the only channels to last this long in popularity
I was around 10 years old when I discovered SML through his stupid and dumb adventures in around 2010. I miss that era

I started watching SML in late 2012, and have been watching his content actively ever since. His content was never pushed towards children, it just looked appealing/interesting to children, which led him into a lot of trouble, as he wasn't exactly trying to keep it family friendly. Making content that children would be interested in is different than making content for children, and some people fail to realize that. Mario was one of his favorite franchises, so he decided to theme his channel around it. Just because Mario is family friendly doesn't mean that you should be expected to be family friendly when theming your channel around it.

This story hits hard for me cus I literally grew up with his videos. Ever since they recorded on his og house I watched every single on of them until abt when he changed to the human puppets and I had kinda grew out of watching those type of videos. The amount of laughter, smiles and memories that man and the others brought to me with simple plush videos is absolutely insane. I definitely preferred the more controversial vids cus they were outrageously funny but I’m very happy that they’re doing okay because they deserve it. Especially Logan.
I feel like Logan didn’t deserve that because his content wasn’t for kids in the FIRST place.

I admired Logan’s videos and his cast for years, watched them since I was about 7 or 8 so about 10 years now 😭. I grew older and matured from his content lately but I come back every now and then and see what’s going on with his channel. Watching him delete his CZcams channel was like watching someone erase a core memory of my childhood, and all because some dumb parent was too lazy to watch what their infant was doing.

When you use a companies characters for the sake of defamation and the content you are putting out paints them in a bad light it only makes sense that they will try to sue. I’m sure kids idolized the police at a young age but grew up to get arrested by them for example, that’s just how life is. Nothing special about it.

My whole channel got demonitized in 2018 due to a copyright infringement, my growth is slow so I’ll probably never get monetized again. I feel really bad for the guy, because he almost lost everything due to kids with unrestricted internet. I was one of those kids, almost got in trouble for re-enacting Jeffy. When I was in 3rd grade, Jeffy was popular with the kids and they were reenacting him. Even that caught me off guard. CZcams needs to get their shit together and respect creators like me, Logan, and other creators out there. I used to think SML was funny, but not as much anymore.
