- When Def Noodles picked a fight with Penguinz0, he could have never expected the impact it would have on his viewership. Beginning in mid 2022, after fighting with Penguinz0, and involving himself in other drama, he'd lose 99% of his audience resulting from some very poor decisions.

I don't think any one could 'destroy' Charlie, although many have tried. Charlie is like your best mate that comes over to hang out, tells you about some wild dumb shit he heard about, having a laugh about it while remaining emotionally unattached and level headed, and then says "So yeh, THAT happened. Critical does not only cover topics he’s qualified to speak on, he covers literally anything and everything. It’s just that he acknowledges that he isn’t an expert and doesn’t go deep into any topic so no one is tricked into thinking he knows more than he does. He’s also transparent about how he learns information.

Because now someone else can reference whatever outrageous thing you did, so audiences can still view it and cut the person they find reprehensible out of the profits.
Even if that reference is technically copyright infringement, which it usually isn’t, people are willing to look the other way at the lesser of two evils.
it would make more sense to say "all publicity is *potentially* good publicity". because it truly depends on how you handle it. I guess it also depends on how desperate you are. for a nobody, someone that wants clout real bad and is just starting, all publicity is good no matter what. for people above a certain line though you're definitely right.

Before social media was a thing, we had "reality tv". Before then all tv was 100 percent scripted with established actors, etc etc. When reality tv became a thing, you had regular people doing stuff on tv in front of millions of viewers.
What makes this interesting is that there was an entire "community" of clout chasers before social media even existed! These people would apply to every single reality tv show, and constantly advertise themselves to these networks for the hopes of getting their faces on tv. It was their entire job and they did this fulltime like obsessed people.
Andrew Tate was one of those people lol.
These people apply for Dr Phil with bogus stories of some mental health thing. They apply to Survivor saying they are some competition mountain climbers. They apply to Jerry Springer saying they sleep with 8 of their friends grandmas. And on and on.
The Tates have been doing this for a long time, and they finally struck gold with their "millionaire playboy" act that come up from nothing.. which obviously isn't true...
What's also interesting to me, and merely anectdotal, is I've known and seen dozens of brothers that live together and are this close, and the one thing they all have in common is INHERITANCE. They have all recieved some sort of inheritance whether it was simply a trust fund, a will leaving a fortune, or life insurance, or a combination.
I can see through those tater tots because I'm a middle aged adult with a lot of life experience, but these kids cannot.

I almost turned this video off when the clip of the "roast battle" showed. Completely forgot I was watching Sunnys video as I took physical cringe damage from that clip.
This is a very valuable lesson on what falling into the dunning kruger effect long term looks like. If you’re bland as all hell and want get into comedy, either be self aware and change that. Oh man, I was balls deep in this. Some of the funniest, chaotic stuff I've ever seen. His live streams were so unhinged. The shit he copped live and his crazy responses were as close to a true, real life mental breakdown you could see. From allegations of cocaine use to suggestions of just taking a break and get help. Everyone got banned for saying the smallest thing, he was not having any of it. He really thought he had it figured out. His 20 or so lackeys on stream that would ride or did for him were just as unhinged and would find any way to justify each and every one of his actions and words. What a time haha. This brought me back. Can't believe it's already been years since that happened
