I have a feeling that it might take at least 5 years before we start seeing an original time period in the Star Wars universe. I'd really like to see something thousands of years into the past similar to the time-frame of Knights of the Old Republic.
+TheDragonSmasher Judging by what they seem to have done so far, they're probably going to make a film bridging the gap between Episode VI and VII after they release Episode IX. They did Rogue One, so you know that has to be on their radar at some point.

Why do they make the voice actor stand on stilts and wear the CGI suit? Why don't they just use someone else and add his voice in later?

The way you use say voice actor, I feel the need to remind you that voice actors are actors. Tudyk in this case was just straight up acting with everyone else in the flesh BECAUSE ACTING IS REACTING.
767scarecrow - yep, him being there, performing and reciting dialogue helps with the other actors in the scene and produces more naturalistic interactions.
