First time have heard of Shark's Cove refered to as Kapo'o Tide Pools?! And i grew up in the immediate area!-lol
I am surprised too. Looking at the sign
@@foodloverasian143...Just did Quick background search on Kapo'o. Kapo'o refers to loud booms that occurs when large winter waves crash onto rock ledges. As had mentioned earlier, grew up referring to this are as Shark's Cove!-lol...Learn something new everyday
FYI...officially, it's National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific aka Punchbowl Cemetery not Center, established in 1949. It's also often referred to as Puowaina=Hill of Sacrifice. Some of the more notable gravesites at Punchbowl include....Daniel K Inouye, Spark Matsunaga, Ellison Onizuka, Patsy T Mink, Ernie Pyle, John A Burns, Wah Kau Kong, Herbert Pililaau & Harold Sakata aka Oddjob.....
If you like the sunset of China wall, you can buy one of the homes along the shore of portlock for around 5 million dollars. And just cross the street to head up koko head to view Hawaii kai.
Yes. That would be a dream. Someday maybe. I will keep dreaming for now. But I do love the sunset there so much
