  • Lave Ridge Wind project…BAD for IDAHO! The Lava ridge wind project proposes to put 242 wind turbines on federal land in southern Idaho. LS Power a New York, New Jersey, and California company thinks they can use the federal government to get what they want in Idaho. Idaho says no! Why? The energy is being mined here to be shipped elsewhere because regulations won't let states like California build! On top of that Idaho has a power problems that this project will never fix! A state should have to produce its power. Not build it in another state.

@@tunkelp trust me we all agree. We understand trading in times of need but shipping 95% somewhere else is ridiculous.

This is why we have local production taxes on things like this; so these projects can benefit the whole nation. Also, why are you complaining? Cash out. If your property is right in the middle of such a huge development, you can rent out your land to a battery farm, or to a data center. Renewable is here to stay and is paying big $$$ for locations like yours. Make it work for you. Look at your peers in Iowa and Texas.

@@BikiniDuckCreations with tax credits from the feds it practically has no benefit. Especially in a state who has a record of budget surplus. On top of that if they picked a project that Idaho could use the power from I would be more inclined to not oppose it. Wind energy isn’t the best option for Idaho

Cash out? What do you mean? I don't think you listened to him saying he does not want wind turbines and other things blocking his view of the country. Your comment shows you're ignorant of the area because nobody is going to build a battery farm or data center in that area. Click your heals and wish it to happen?
