Unity amongst the Idaho farmers needs to be a key factor here. As a unified body of food suppliers you can turn the situation at hand around at the legislative level. Speak out and speak loud. Other western states are in the same dilemma and unification is definitely key for positive results for the growers. Prayers going up for just that. 🙏🏻

What people should do is go to their local town meeting and let their voices be heard to get the town on board and then take it to the county and hopefully there's enough towns and country on board to protect the farmers because if Texas can stand up against the government then every state can do the same thing... If people love eating food and the freedom of choice of where to shop and the type of food they should help fight to protect the farmers

what the people need to do is BECOME the local seats before the wrong people see the hole and move in and become the government. that's where it always starts.

I stopped eating potatoes and reduced beer for health reasons. I buy local grassfed beef. More regenerative agriculture with beef would help with soil carbon, water retention. And I could keep my bees there. I avoid monocrop agriculture.
We need to promote the health benefits of beef.

Lots of time and money is spent to ensure optimal droplet size for soil penetration without causing runoff or evaporation. Pivot systems can be 95% efficient or more when properly equipped. We try to keep our systems as efficient as possible.

I agree we absolutely must work to ensure the conservation of our water resources. What worries me is that the water was curtailed after farmers invested millions into this years crop on a good water year. Also I find it troubling the “shortfall” was from 3 years ago and they decided to take it back now. We really need a solid agreement in place to keep this from happening in the future
