This is the first in a series of videos called golden oldies I’m going to make about old or discontinued guitar gear that still has massive relevance and can totally be the right choice for a lot of situations.
In this episode I'm looking at the much loved and lauded Fulltone OCD. In this specific case the OCD 1.7. There are many many versions of it.
The OCD to me is the definitive pedal to reach for if you want to switch from clean to dirty on a single channel amp. It's a distortion pedal for mid and high gain sounds. I feel it does this very well with nearly any guitar / amp combination. There are a lot of players Ive come across who use this pedal for that specific purpose.
It's got loads of gain on tap and a really excellent tone control and well as bags of level. When you add in the HP/LP switch it's the full package
