Yuki after getting points this weekend: “Yeah, nah, piece of piss aye”
Mean as
Mean az bro
He's actually really funny and his English is excellent
As a kiwi, I really hope that happens post race interview
0:24 "First compliment I heard from him" lmao Yuki was so sassy in this 😂
Liam + Yuki = happiness
any driver + Yuki = happiness
all of them instantly turn into Yuki's big brother
Except Yuki gives off big bro vibes here
I can't wait for Yuki to say "PIECE OF PISS, MATE" to his engineer on the radio during a race. 😂
Say what you want but Yuki's improvement has been massive, he barely spoke english when he joined F1 and now he's a certified kiwi
Yuki went Mr. Worldwide with his teammates 😂 a frenchman, dutch, aussie now he's a proper kiwi too
1:05 this part is so funny to me, you can see how easily they are distracted just by the smell of food 😭
Yuki's radio rant is going to have me falling off my chair this weekend.
Lol yuki sounded so natural saying those kiwi slangs 😂
As a kiwi, I laughed out loud at this. Yuki would fit right in. Sweet as bro! 🇳🇿🥝
Need more Yuki and Liam content please! 😙
Hardout
they're such good mates, I'll miss them.
Enjoy these two together!
Some kiwi and Aussie slang is very similar because I'm an Aussie but I know exactly what he's talking about.
Can't wait for Yuki to start using this vocabulary around Daniel when he comes back!
They are like two kids who met for the first time in class and became buddies instantly.
Aussie here and we say a few things like that/similar expressions too! Always love watching these two! 🤍🤍🫶
Yeah it's kinda cool to see the similarities and differences. 'Skuxx' I had never heard of, 'Jandals' is pretty damn rare here, and 'mean as' you don't hear all that often. The rest are super common to hear. This was a fun video
Fuck I haven’t heard Skuxx in a hot minute 😂 Kiwi slang is something else. Makes me miss home.
Also, it’s pull a sickie 😂
can't wait for yuki to start integrating "piece of piss" into his regular vocabulary
OK, in Aus ‘yeah nah’ is no, and ‘nah yeah’ is yes. But maybe they do it backwards in NZ! 😂
Honestly I’m pretty sure i actually say “yea, nah” for both yes and no lmao. It’s hard to explain, it kinda just depends on the context/tone
It’s the same in Nz - the last word is the actual
it rlly depends, but sometimes in nz yeah nah is no and nah yeah is yes and then yeah nah yeah is probably and then nah yeah nah it’s maybe (but ur defo not doing it)
@@caitlin4786not confusing at all 😂😂😂😂😂
I'm a Kiwi and initially disagreed with Liam here but after thinking about it, I realized it can kind of mean either here depending in inflection and context.
Never have I ever supported a home athlete as much as Liam LMAO, its so funny hearing Yuki speak our slang
Yuki gonna use this on radio
Best duo of the grid 2023 ➡️ Lawson 🇳🇿and Tsunoda 🇯🇵 🔥🔥
Yeah nah and nah yeah need to be used with the correct tone as you can turn each other into having the others meaning so easily it’s gold
Ngl I like der pairing (although it's just a temporary pairing everytime I saw a vid. with them together I can't help myself smiling) after Yuki + Pierre pair 😊 Goodluck Yuki and Liam this coming Qatar GP ❤
Liam fits so well.
All the Aussies in the comments trying to claim Kiwi stuff, some things never change 🤷♂️😂
Hardout brother
well someone in good mood recently *point out to yuki. liam you are good too. love this duo's. hope you guys have point and good race this weekend *finger cross
Jandals = Japanese sandals, another good Nz + Japan pairing 🩴
today, i learnt half of the shit I've said in my 18 years on this planet is kiwi slang 😭
The majority of that Kiwi slang is also used in Britain, other than jandals and skuxx
really im half kiwi and half british and when i go to britain i hear none of these
love their dynamics but for every screaming meals listener this was easy haha
Even if Liam doesn't get a chance to fill in for anybody next year I at least hope to see more of him in these videos as he just fits in so well
these two are so perfect together, plz bye bye danny ric hello liam plz for the shalom of god
Hard
Yuki and Liam is actually such a great combo.
Will be watching out from Yuki’s radio messages this weekend!!!!
This is the best possible Alpha Tauri's drivers couple
Yuki : Liam, you're racing next season rite?
Liam: yeah, nah😫
😩💔😩
She'll be right
this might be the best pairing on the grid
very marketable pairing tbh
am i losing my mind or this is the third version of this exact video this year😂
Lol dont learn Yuki more curse words 😂😂😂😂
I would love to see Daniel and Liam compare some expressions to see how close they are between Australia and New Zealand
How are these two not the line up for 2024 is still unbelievable ❤❤
Liam beating Danny should be a piece a piss the way he's gunning at it
レースでは最大のライバルだけど、やっぱりこの2人は見ていて安心するくらい仲がいいっすね!
Wow,,great car setup on yuki coming from left on Mclaren❤❤
Liam I’m from Invercargill bottom of the South Island of New Zealand and here yeah na is no. I.e “ did you qualify in the top 15 this week” your answer would be “YEAH NAA”. Your awesome keep doing what you do
i love how many of these are also used in scotland
Yuki always acing this challenges❤😂
This should be the lineup for next year fffssss
YUKI TSUNODA🇯🇵🗾
I need to see Liam’s reaction to Yuki doing the sound of a dog barking in Japanese
These two are a marketers dream
This should have been the line up for 2024
liam is so nice
Haha love it!
choice bro!
istg yeah nah means no and nah yeah means yes
tbh it might be different for different parts of the country as liams from auckland and i am but a humble wellingtonian.
They are so good together, missed opportunity AT 😞😞😞
He lived in the UK, of course he knows the meaning of 'knackered.'
I swear we are a refined culture.
Wow liam is actually so nice i like him hehe
as a kiwi, we officially claim yuki
Daniel: "It should've been me, not him!😠"
first off: daniel’s australian.
We say many of these in the Midwest of the States.
They forgot "chur"
Not aussies having nah yeah and yet not completely opposite 😂
It crushed me when Liam sais skuxx is quite an old term.
liam trying really hard to emulate a philosopher with them touching-fingers gesture
角田くん、俗語使うの上手いよね
とても自然笑
Mean alright
Fun video, but a couple of corrections:
Yeah nah actually means "No", it's whichever comes last. e.g "Nah yeah" = Yes.
Also, "knackered" is just a british word found in any english dictionary and not kiwi slang
Im gonna miss liam
I'm from NZ and I thought yea nahs were always the last word. "Yeah nah" is no, and "nah yea" yes
Chur bro 😂
This content is funny as
角田が他のレーサーの前で日本語話す時反応が面白い🤣
Shiiiittttt no chur or bros in there 🤣
Liam beating Yuki this weekend .. Piece of Piss ..
The best way to offend a New Zealander is to call them an Australian.
liammmm yeah nah means no 😭 its like 'you think about it but overall you should say no'. "wanna have another drink?" "yeah nah"
Kinda surprised Liam didn't explain that jandals = Japanese sandals lol
Stoked surprised me. Didn't know that was Kiwi; us Brits sometimes use it. Never understood why they're Jandals, or 'thongs' in AUS. (We call the flip flops bc of the sound they make)
In th UK a thong is very very short women's underwear that goes up into the ass crack. Wonder what they're called in Aus/NZ 😂
I heard jandals are 'japanese sandals' shortened. The underwear is called g-strings (no idea where that came from) to differenciate them from shoes - I heard that happened in California where 'thongs' were also shoes, until flip-flops took over and the underwear got 'thong'.
- A Norwegian who finds it incredibly fascinating how the english language have evolved in the different english speaking countries.
Too much, chur, on the piss are some good ones
correction: yeah nah means no and nah yeah means yes
Fuck meee, skuxx. I ain't heard that shit since primary school
I though yeah nah was no and nah yeah was yes, but I'm Australian so it might be a regional thing
As a kiwi I did not even know what half of our slang even ment
I had a little crisis when liam said that "yeah nah" meant yes..
Yeah nah this video was mean as g 🤙
Oh no ric they are showing promise
I've figured it out, in Australia we claim Kiwi Actors as Aussies, such as Russell Crow. But in NZ you claim Aussie slang as your own! 😅
nah most of OUR (aussie and kiwi) slang comes from the UK which is why we both have similar words. The slang in this video isn't really proper kiwi slang in that way compared to things like "the wop wops"
Just because Australia and NZ use the same slang doesn't automatically mean it comes from Australia. You have no proof.
Lot of aussie slangs in there
I didnt realize stoked was a Kiwi term lol, people use it a lot
I’m Aussie and it is very similar but yeah nah means no
It feels like DeVries never existed
Skuxx d-luxx 😂😂 good times
Pull a sickie rather than chuck a sickie.
Who knew knackered and piece of piss were used in NZ too! I assumed they were only a British thing
Half of these are Australian surely, or at least shared!
