You don't have to pay the 5,000 gold bribe just walk to the right and go over the wall. Also a few houses down from the main building is a house with four Swords in it so you don't have to give up your own. And if you have to fight the guards just remember their crooked guards that are loyal to the Tyrant Queen so don't feel bad. 😅
Once a character start to blush i think it means the affinity is maxed out so no need for 3 sets one set of flowers and ure good heck w Ulrika just do the quests u dont need gifts

I woud love if the game let you have on NPC +your 3 pawns.
Probably be mods for it later but i'd imagine having too many would break the pathfinding, it's already pretty janky in spots having Pawns become stuck or falling/jumping to their death.
I have 7 people in my party plus a child. They have been with me for for a very…..very long time. I inn save and if they die I restart. I have the elf bow guy, a cat lady merchant, the lost wolf attack boy, and ulrika all following me as well.
I presumed that is what the Official Pawns were when I first discovered them.
I hate that I accidentally start the coronation and lost this I’m so angry

Wait, how is it clickbait?
Because this happens with any of the main story characters you build bonds with like Ulrika, Sigurd, Lamond, etc. They will show up at your houses all the time asking to take them to a spot far away usually for like 100 or so RC.
It's not like you're getting them as a full time companion that helps you through the game

If u accept their Escort equest and go off on a grand adventure they CAN and WIILL die. This ending your relationship entierly..so maybe don't hijack their escort quests.
I completely forgot abt Melve and have already done all the Harve village quests and also killed the dragon with Sigurd at the dragonsbreath tower
Went back to do Ulrika quest but she just stands in the same place , tried giving her 5 flowers but that just got me the fighter master teaching instead
Tried going back to Melve after resting and sleeping at inn but no change....I guess I can't do her quest anymore
yea same thing happened to me, i tried going back and giving her the 3 flowers to no avail. I mean her quest isnt super important but its kinda sad that the game can fuck you out of cool story bits just cause it doesnt tell you specific quests lock you out of other quests that you dont even know about.

@@thextruedragonborn8452it didn’t “screw you out if it,” you just missed it cuz you probably rushed the story. I got it naturally by just going back to each town to check on things. The game even tells you to go back to many of the villages for side quests, and Brant tells you to finish up anything you’ve got left before the coronation.
If you start a new game or go to ng+, slow down and take the time to explore. Don’t just rush the main quest
man i missed so much stuff in my first playthrough, i rushed the end game to start over and its insane how much more stuff there is if you look for it.
This is with almost every game. Reason why I don't understand why people rush through games to the end. The devs spend so much time crafting these worlds and the majority of people rush through it. Take your time, explore. That's what they intended.
Doireann ended up being my love at the end I was surprised they brought that back tbh
There is a store room in Melve that has the 4 swords. You talk to a few people on the south road. The people distract the guards so you can grab the swords.
I got max affinity for the elvish dude at the weapon shop -_- by mistake.... as his quest (lead to the Elvish town) and i did know escorting is 100% maxed it out so at the end game i was confused......
Did that with the elven wife of that dwarf dude it was weird

The dragon kidnapps someone important.
Ended up being my favorite merchant.
Something about that questline I’ve been meaning to ask. If that asshole noble says that Ulrika isn’t doing a good enough job protecting Melve from 2 dragon attacks, what the hell was he and the queen regent doing during those attacks? Were they snorting crack off of the Sovrin’s throne as they couldn’t be bothered to send reinforcements to aid Melve? And the reason why they branded Ulrika a traitor was because they were afraid that she might then in why they haven’t sent aid to deal with the dragon attacks?
After i finished the harve cave quest with her, she became the eldrr of the village, and she still standing there near a house where she use to be, even skipping a few days.
I gave her about 6 flowers, and she also still standing there. SADGE😢
You can’t keep her forever if you fast travel to other place the escort quest will fail
can you do the quest again if it’s failed?

If you pick her up before you fast travel, she comes with you.

*SPOILERS*
When you return to Melve and the pustule dragon is attacking, if you manage to kill the dragon then and there you will be rewarded with numerous things. Talking to Sigurd will grant you the Mystic Spearhand vocation along with its maister skill and a very powerful Duospear. But more importantly killing the dragon will immediately max out Ulrika’s affection level. I never gave her any flowers or items at all and she still had full blush every time I talked with her. You kill the dragon with the giant harpoon on top of the tower. It should be an easy 2 shot.
Okay, so it’s an escort quest. If I don’t take her to her destination, she’ll follow me around, but that means I will never be able to do anymore escort quests…this is dumb…
Not only that but she can die and isn't geared as well as your pawns. She can't be revived unless you find her body at the morgue. It's best to just take her to her new home
The dragon attack in melve triggers when you do even ONE of Brant's quests; and you have to go back to melve BEFORE a set point in main quests, or you will miss the option to do the dragon attack - and lock yourself out of being able to romance Ulrica. It's best to return to melve after you complete any ONE of Brant's missions, if this is a path you want to take.
I feel sad when I finished game and only when I saw melva was destroyed by dragon I remember there was that cute lady , this game is crazy
I don’t know why so many people are in a rush to escort Ulrika back to Harve so quickly.
She’s basically a fourth immortal follower until you return her home. She has no energy bar and is a great archer in battle. I had her follow me around as I explored the map and caves etc. She was with me when I killed many beasts. But I somehow lost her when I started the Coronation mission
Ulrika's quest can be broken. Take the guy that shows up in Melve to arrest her and throw him into the water. He never comes back and the guards never show up :D I am running a second run through to check for certain but the first time I did this, Ulrika did start showing up at my house in Vernworth once I had maxed out her affinity.
so i have max affinity with her and dealt with both the dragon the culling the beasts (?) quests but have never seen her encounter with the guy. She's always chilling by the riftstone and nowhere else. Any ideas if i missed it or haven't done something yet?
So is she completely bugged out? I started and finished her escort quest after doing the coronation mission. (Didn't fail the escort quest in this order) And when i rested at the inn next door to her shack i was able to stay for free. Afterwards she was entirely missing from the village. The inn charges 1500 like normal too Does anyone know where she couldve gone? Did she go back to the house in the capital, go back to melve or did the dragon just swoop in over night?
Im out of luck i guess as i did the village quest before getting the delivery one, she is at the fishing town now but there is no quest in my logbook to return later etc and the villagers i help in the rescue were banished and moved to the slums in the capital 😕
How long does it typically take for her to visit your house again, I've been waiting a while.
I did this without any of the first shit with the flowers , I just did her quests and got the same results. She’s always turning up at my house and asking me to go for a walk. So is the elf guy. It’s super annoying. All the Maisters will ask you to go for walks with them once you’ve done their missions. Literally no need for the gifts.
I had Urika as my follower and then suddenly she just disappeared. I've also had Mandela and that old guy's wife and they just followed me long enough to complete just one mission and they said they were satisfied and more fulfilled now and left.
Failed the quest after sleeping she just vanished. Came back to my house and she’d left a note telling me she knew I wouldn’t show up and it rewarded me with a ferrystone 💀 this sucks
Have her tons of flowers, she doesn’t say anything like your dialogue, she’s blushed to bits though 😂

Anyone you give corresponding gifts. Got to your history and people and look at what they like and jist gift them there fav a b8nch of times
Hopefully it doesn't go down the same path as the first game XD but yes every character you can talk to can be befriend/romanced like in the first game because even just talking to them raises a hidden affection rating a tiny amount but gifts greatly speeds things up
Game only has 2 and they're both the same gender.
she never showed up for the trouble on the cape mission. not sure if I've screwed up along the way. I already maxed her affinity out before doing the stuff so I don't know if that screwed it up.
if you're still playing at this point, make sure you do/did the scaly invaders quest until about twice

Did the quest perfectly really early on in the story. But then she just stopped showing up in Harve. I checked, and she wasn't dead. She just disappeared from my game.
I be doing every quest i find and probably accidentally maxing affinities all over the place.

I did all this before I watched this but I didn't finish the follow quest and just had her following me and she just ended up going away and showing back up at my home later
So i saw the icon on the map that shows her in front at my house but i didnt go to her cause i was doing other side quest and decided to see if she wqs still there after possibly 2 in game days. Does she show up again if you didnt show up to her the first time? She just chillin at harve for me.
No idea, same here, and never have seen her again, tried to go back in my saves but they weren't far enough back to get back to where she spawned, sucks.

I didn't go back to harve after saving the guy. Melve got the guards posted and so I helped save them. They went to harve and I've gotta tell Ulrika what happened by the docks(home is where the hearth is) . She's not at the docks. She's in the old man's house and won't let me finish the quest. I love this game but the quests braking is hella frustrating. I restarted already once for a few other reasons but missing this quest was one if em...and it broke. Any ideas anyone ?
Every time she shows up at my house and I take the escort quest, it just fails randomly before I can get to Harve Village
Can someone please explain how to get her to appear if you already had the romance cutscene? the first time she appeared as soon as I bought the house but I started the coronation quest and it cancelled it. I loaded my save from the Inn to start over but she is not popping up anymore. Can anyone help?? Also does anyone know if she will come back after I complete the coronation?
Theres flowers Battahl but idk if i wanna gives flowers to everyone to get random items. That takes alot of work one random npc has best weapon by accident.

I did the quests in the cave with the lizard people before the lady got to the village, the lion man was the questgiver in this case. He got banned from the village.

@@heywhatsupman I went back there and the quest triggered as normal. So it is still doable but in a different order.
I did this too and if you do the Ulrika quest and go back, she mentions having gotten his banishment undone and he's back
You can take her anywhere or sleep in the house. But when. You mark other quest while she is following, she will disappear. It happens to all escort quest. It’s so annoying.
Glyndwr the elf archer dude followed me too and disappeared when I did the quest escort the oxcart near the checkpoint town.
So.... I overheard Martin, followed him outside and tried to teach him how to fly.... He just forgot to flap his arms 😅

After ulrika became village leader I grabbed the old village leader and threw him in the brine and she gave me max affinity
That's risky tho, she could die on your adventure if you're not careful

I did everything in the game and nothing even gave her flowers more than once and nothing no companion. What a waste.

Update. I got this far and she did stick around... until the game randomly said Travel quest failed even though she didnt die and i had to reload from an Inn rest to get her back. Just decided to end it... i wish she could just be a real permanent travel companion after doing her romance quest. Just to have her to with in the world
Dude don’t give up. I have 7 people in my party just like her plus the wolf attack kid all following me. It’s hard to keep watching them but they will follow you forever. It’s worth it I have a party of 8 now it’s insane

She died in the water which I did have a wakestone thank goodness but follower Ai is a bit janky. Not the worst but they get stuck alot. But that does sound sick bro. But that time it just said follower quest failed and she vanished entirely got to too nervous. I reloaded an Inn save and left it at that.
Any1 know, as Google (read as DINGleberry) is too stupid to answer, does simply Entering Battal, regardless of the MQ, auto-fail/auto-progress Quests like Ulrika's, even WITHOUT them in your Quest Log?

yeah if you do this and she dies while escorting her she's gone forever, I looked everywhere for her body after a cyclops squished her but no dice, just gone
You either missed her body or ran too fast and she got stuck and you left her.
I have 7 people in my party plus the wolf attack kid. It’s hard keeping up with them all but if you only walk, and try not to climb a lot and watch them, they will be with you forever I’ve had them all for days BUT, I stopped progressing the story so yeah they may go away based on story progression
If her body despawns (I think half a day ingame) just go to the main town and into the morgue. Pay the fee to search for a body and revive her with a wakestone.
Sadly I missed this, I'll have to so it in new game plus :(

Nah, you get locked out of both romance options if you didn't do them before coronation quest for the rest of your playthrough to my knowledge

The way I fixed it was before continuing I loaded a "Load from last Inn rest" save which took me back 2 quests before and I visited Melve to trigger her running away to Harve village. But if you rested at an Inn since completing the Harve village questline, you're screwed

After the guy tells you to procure some weapons head out of the house and down the main village road to the part that was destroyed by the dragon. On the left side is a house with a guard that will tell you to f*** off. If you did a sidequest before where you saved 2 brothers they will immediately propose that they distract the guard. Inside you find the weapons.
If they don't show up go murder hobo.
