Recently back from visiting Socotra myself, this video is beautiful and makes me smile so much. The island and its people will forever hold a special place in my heart. I hope to go back again some day. There is nothing else like it.
How do you even get to a place like that? I doubt I'd ever go but I'm really interested in how people travel to such places and the cost
How did you recently go in the middle of the war in Yemen 🇾🇪? I just don’t understand the logistics to get to this island.

@@ggqbc I flew to Socotra via Abu Dhabi. I booked my trip with Tour Socotra - they organised my flight tickets as you can't (currently) book them yourself online.

Wow, I am absolutely stunned by the uniqueness of the location, the quality of this video and the way it's clearly made an impact on you. Wish there were more people traveling to far flung destinations rather than herding to the same places for the same photos and experiences. The world is so big and there are endless paradises left to be discovered, we just need to be more courageous and bring back that sense of true adventure we as a society seem to have lost, even if it means sleeping in a tent. I will put this place high on my list for 2024.
