🔴 *After 3 years in the making, I finally made it to Yemen.* Yemen has been at the top of my list for a long time. Spoiler alert: It definitely met and surpassed my expectations. I just started posting the photos from this mind-expanding trip on my Instagram here: instagram.com/indigo.traveller/
Thank you for watching, great to be back posting videos again. Let me know your thoughts of the video in a comment below. Cheers! Nick 🇾🇪

This is next level Journalism. You have literally re-invented a profession that is devouring itself with narcissism and a distaste for truth. I hope others take notes from you because this is amazing. I did notice something rather strange as I listened with Closed Captioning. All references to "War" and "Military" are blanked out in the CC. Is that a CZcams thing ? You should consider porting your work to Non Censoring sites. I hope at some point someone is smart enough to offer you a "home" as a Journalist so you can promulgate everything you do.

I have seen that issue with the CC as well. I always thought it's on purpose, because it might be, that the YT algorithm is also going through the subtitles and if they have "bad" words in them, the videos get flagged or whatever. But even without those words, there is enough context if you cannot listen to Nick :3

Hey Nick, Gerry in Fla. USA. This is the 3rd video that I have watched about Yemen and the one constant that I see amongst all the videos, are the smiles of the Yemeni People. They all want the War to end. Prayers for the People of Yemen. They are such a Strong People to exhibit joy with a smile while surely testing any mans or woman's ability to live amongst the hardships they endure...I'm curious how far the amount of money that the US has given to Ukraine for how it will help the Yemeni People and for how long? Money for Peace, Not War. Cheers Nick and the Yemeni People, Gerry

ATTENTION: In the beginning of the clip, the driver is asked: "Is there anything he wants to say to the world?" The translator did not translate correctly. The man in the driver seat actually said: "The Yemeni people are being oppressed." He never said "The Yemeni people are insulted..." LOL. But I would agree with "and they live without justice." Yemen consists of two Yemens, namely South Yemen, which consists of authentic Arab tribes from which the rest of the tribes of the Arabian Peninsula were formed. South Yemen is the first Arab country to open up to the Western, European and Russian outside world. It is a country with a lot of young cadres open to the outside world. South Yemen is a qualified and valid state to be a state like the rest of the countries that respect the rights of others to life, respect international conventions and preserve international shipping lines. While North Yemen has been a state since its founding, an arbitrary state run by a Zaydi lobby that controls and dominates all levers of power and wealth. North Yemen descended the origins of his sons to the Persians and Abyssinian. North Yemen consists of gypsy tribes that do not respect the rights of others in life and only believe in the logic of wars, murder, looting and intermittent plunder. Since its inception, North Yemen has never sought to be a sovereign state. Rather, the people of North Yemen are divided into three sections as follows: one third of the northern components follow Iran, one third follow Qatar, and the other third are silent. North Yemen is simply a semi-state because its sons are not qualified either scientifically, academically, or culturally. Rather, they do not have the minimum level of basic education. This was the policy of former President Saleh and the Yemeni Congregation for Reform Party (the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen).
South Yemen is like South Korea like life and respect others lives and wanna provide something for the other societies whereas North Yemen like North Korea just like to kill the lives of others and like to fight and make life a piece of hell.

Very interesting and well done. The Yemeni Jews, who were there for thousands of years, and at one point had an independent kingdom, Himyar, mostly left in 1949. Now Yemenite Jewish culture- food, music, Hebrew liturgical poetry- is at the center of Israeli national identity. The Yemeni Jewish singer Ofra Haza, who sang in both Arabic and Hebrew, was world famous. I hope there will be peace everywhere in the Middle East. Everybody there deserves a good life. I loved your close ups of smiling, handsome faces. People here, where life is so much easier, seem a lot less happy. Travel safe, be well, and God bless.

When you watch western media all they do is talk SHyyyt about much they suck and how oppressed they are. This guy has a great way of showing that in the west we are the exception most of the world is just like how he shows in the videos.

Thank you Nick. I'm blown away by the beauty of the Yemeni coastline. Almost achingly beautiful considering what the country is going through. Imagine how amazing it can be and it's potential in peace/prosperity times.
I've seen other documentaries of Yemen and it's beautiful Northern mountainous regions where they grow coffee. I know the term “Mocha” originated from the legendary port city of Mokha there in Yemen where coffee was being traded in the 15th century with the Far East and Europe. Yemen also prides itself on being the first cultivator of Coffee Arabica in the world and was once the world's biggest producer of coffee. Hoping to hear more of that in your travels.
Meanwhile stay safe. I love the accompanying Arabic tracks!
    (Edit)
Editing this to say that your guide & translator is phenomenal. His English is awesome, looks like a solid & kind gentleman but one who won't hesitate to wrestle a lion should the need arise.
    Stay safe !!!

Thanks for presenting this. While you’re in the area, it would be good to see some of Oman, also a country seldom seen in the media, but prosperous and stable in contrast to Yemen.
