Beta-Ray Bill is a cool character and doesn't get enough attention. I would love to see a movie about his backstory.
A classic ‘80s character from a legendary run by Walt Simonson. Good to see him get some attention.
One of the smartest plot twists in Marvel history was having Odin gift the Don Blake enchantment to Bill. A stroke of wisdom worthy of Odin, which made perfect sense given Thor's history while opening the door to a relationship between Bill and Sif, who was going nowhere. In contrast, everything after Simonson in this video just sounds dumb.
Actually, the Beta Ray minis that he got were pretty good. I would recommend the Annihilators mini-series too.
A warrior so noble, he even brought out the good hidden inside Galactus himself! I'm feeling emotional over this, and tbe fact he finally found home....
Walt Simonson’s run on Thor was some of the best art and storytelling in the 80’s.
How does it hold up today? Sadly, John Byrne’s work doesn’t hold up all that well.
I remember this as a kid. It was one of the greatest stories I had read. Walt Simonson’s run on Thor brought new life to the series.
Walt made thor look so bad ass in his old costume. I forgot how much I preferred that old costume and look of asgard. There was very little to improve design wise.
Easily one of my favorite Marvel characters of all time. Still hoping he makes an appearance in the next Thor movie!

I think in thor ragnirok they had a giant head of him as a cameo or something so yeah, he will show up.

@@nevilleevergreens6522 I find it interesting that the character of Blue Marvel was from my father's generation. Black men from that time period seemed to spend an inordinate amount of time and energy going out of their way to seem as docile as possible.
@@gerardrbain1972 Because they're seen as a threat. Kevin Grevioux has written Blue Marvel well past that stage(Legend of Blue Marvel series). Other writers have him as the most powerful man in the room but is too scared to let him cut loose. Like in the Ultimates how Blue Marvel could have done more in the fight against Thanos but we all saw how it ended.

I never knew that a Marvel character like Beta Ray Bill is such a massive fan favourite. I collected Thor comics in the late 80s, just missing out on the classic Walt Simeonson run where Bill made his appearances. Great synopsis. I'd like to know the origins of Jack of Hearts. *EXCELSIOR!!*

The first time i ever saw bill was when he took on gladiator hulk the planet hulk movie man the way he was taking on hulk was so cool a few months after that i saw his 3.75 action figure and had to have it still have and man it captures his awesomeness!
