I've been using it now for over 1 month. Works pretty good. It still gets me sometimes when I go to get on the bike and forget the alarm is set.
People are impressed by how loud it is.
I just ordered two more for other bikes.
I'll be offering these as an extra for all my ebikes.
Now if only I can find my charging cable...

It feels a little cheap out of the box, but mounted good and works good. Not bad for the price. I'll probably order more for my other bikes.

I haven't used the bike I installed it on yet to see how it works. I'll find out today. I work at a bike shop, and ride a bike every day to work. I should get a laugh out of it when someone goes to move my bike and it goes off in the warehouse!

It's a pain in the neck to unmount it from under the seat to charge it. You should've moved the USB port closer to front.👍
For the current L1R charging port may be blocked by saddle curvature edge, we would suggest you change to the seat post mount for now. And our new L2R (2nd generation of L1R) Taillight can prevent the issue, which to be launched late this year.
is it just the video or is the 'horn' sound underwhelming and just a low volume 'beep' sound? How can that be used to warn other people at a distance on the road? Doesn't sound like a horn and doesn't sound very loud.. same with the bike finder option.. also with the bike finder option it says the alarm must be unlocked to activate the bike finder but surely if you have parked your bike with the alarm in yoru absence the alarm will be locked when you're trying to locate your bike..seems counter intuitive
The horn is higher frequency beep sound compare to the alarm alert sound. It is very loud in the real life.
The bike finder option works like a car alarm. You will hear it when you lock or unlock your car with your remote, which helps you locate your car too. When you unlock the bike, you will hear a confirmation. If we do not lock the bike, you can use the horn.
Please share how to replace the battery in the "remote". I read that we're to use a tool, what and where is it and how is it applied. I've arthritis in my thumbs having trouble sliding it's back. Thanks.

how long the batteries of both devices (remote and main device) last for ? I got 3 of them - other devices - and all batteries were dying after 1 months both of them. it s a nightmare and not ecological. and I threw them away as well all of them. but hey were working great when batteries were ok !

No, you won't get any sign or notice through the remote control. Only the alarm sound from the bike taillight unit will be triggered when any one touch/move it.

i have some trouble to this item i have locked it by remote control but when i unlock it no response to the tail light and i cannot touch my bike because the alarm is so loud what shall i do
In this case, the user’s remote control battery may drain out.
You need use a small flat screw driver to pop open the plastic casing of remote control. Install a new 12V/27A alkaline battery. Press the top and bottom shells together until they snap together.

I have not charged my alarm for months. I tried to charge it and while connected to the USB the alarm is unstoppable. I have to unplug it to stop the alarm. The battery in the remote appears to work. Has anyone else had this problem?

Can you change the alarm tones?
No, current L1R model cannot change the ring tone.
But we are developing the 2nd generation of L1R bike light with the remote control, which will support 3 changeable ring tones and will launch shortly.
