Japanese athletes have the most majestic armpits. I guess, it's their lucky charms.

Hannah Joy I'm happy for the winners. But I can't help but think of Whitlock's medal as being incorrect. Because he didn't actually made the AA finals. His spot was given to him by his team mate(who wasn't even injured). Sort of remind me of what happened with Gutsu and Galieva in the 1992 Olympics. Except Galieva was pushed out by the coaches while he was just handed a gift.

Interesting. What makes you think that his teammate was not in fact injured. Also, I thought that qualifications secured spots for a country, not necessarily for specific athletes.

Hannah Joy It's because he said so. He was not feeling like he can hit as well as he can, but he is not injured. So, from now on, every gymnast can give a favorite gymnast his/her's spot if they want to. That would be ridiculous. So if Kohei does not qualified for an AA, his teammate can give him his spot because Kohei is the king? NO NO NO. It is unfair to hand over a spot in the AA final because you think your teammate has a better chance. You have to qualify unless you are indeed injured. I think the fig should disallowed this unless the gymnast is indeed injured.

Vette gaddia okay, I see what you are saying. Personally, I'm not really bothered by it, but I do appreciate you explaining your perspective.

Please never, ever use that commentator again. I'm English and even I find his accent obnoxious. He can't even pronounce people's names right, and he barely mentions any of the moves they're doing!
