I’ll never forget when the blackfish film came out had a friend post on FB that she will never go to seaworld and any parks affiliated, 2 days later she went to Busch gardens and posted about it and I mentioned that seaworld owns Busch Gardens in the comments and she unfriended me for that.
💀
Never realized that but I haven't gone since I was 13 and before blackfish. Explains why we went to both
😂 wow
@@arex9000 curse you cnn
Sounds like she wants to be angry for the sake of being angry and doesn't actually give a damn about the abused animals.
I wish SeaWorld would keep the marine-life rehabilitation and rescue aspect, since that's needed. Rather than have shows, it would be cool to have the coastal parks still have a conservation focus, and possibly have educational sessions and interactions for the public the way most zoos do. When these parks just focus on rides, what will differentiate them from other regional parks, like Cedar Fair/Six Flags?
When is the last time you went to SeaWorld because last time I went they had a lot of conservation focus and educational sessions

Rollercoasters should never be held in captivity.
They'll just put more roller coasters in there
Agreed specially at San Diego
Yeah pretty much
Yup! They've been building them like crazy in Orlando over the last decade.
It's a smart move, they know the animal part of the park is getting a lot of backlash so by adding the roller coasters now, when they have to toss the animal exhibits, they can quickly and affordably replace them with flat rides. I see them transitioning to theme parks in the near future to compete with Six Fairs Cedar Flags.
Sadly. Not everyone likes roller coasters. I’d argue that there’s a huge part of their family oriented market share that hate them.
To be honest, seaworld is the only
Reason I started giving a shit about ocean animals as a kid in the 90s
They have a great zoology department. You can learn a lot from the information they present
yup, Seaworld does great things for marine conservation, care and rescue.
Everything was better in the 90s. I never got to seaworld but Disney and Universal I did. If I ever make it back ill try seaworld and universal since Disney's all about woke and pandering too their customers about it.
Except for the fact they spread misinformation and lie constantly….oh and treat the animals horribly 🤦🏼♀️
@@ganeyfleming1606 Let me guess, your "correct information" is what you see on youtube and reddit?
You need to do a video on how Disney should fix/refurbish Tomorrowland in Walt Disney World!

If they did that, Tomorrowland would be a Fallout attraction
They need to do something about Disney and their idiot wokeness turning everything to shit
Its so over. Your meme edits in this vid had me bursting out laughing.
Me too!
This is the most clickbait thing I've seen in coaster news in a long time. As Mark Twain might have said, "the reports of Sea World's demise are greatly exaggerated." I was just in BGT and SW Orlando last year and both parks were jammed with people at a time when everybody was talking about how empty Disney was. And the price for a two day pass to BGT and SWO ended up being a little over half the cost of a 2 day pass to Universal or Disney. Sea World Parks aren't going anywhere they are just evolving into something different from what they were in the past.
Wishful thinking on the part of extremist activists. THEY SAY their lame wishes as if they were affirmations.
I have never seen Disney empty.
@@christinamixon8902 it was all anybody could talk about last summer. Literally every Disney blogger on the planet was talking about low attendance at Disney last summer. When I was in Epcot it wasn't empty but it wasn't insanely busy either.
@ashleighelizabeth5916 I was there last summer, and it was packed.
That's unfortunate, seaworld sucks. Idk why any adult would even go there
I like that Sea World is building a lot of new roller coasters. I live in California and Disney hasn’t built a new coaster here since DCA opened over 20 years ago.

I used to be a SeaWorld San Diego Annual Pass Holder a long time ago but I became a LEGOLAND California Resort Annual Pass Holder because they invest in the theme park every year and they listen to the people on social media. I also love LEGOS so it makes sense. I find it shocking that SeaWorld San Diego along with Sesame Place San Diego’s competitor LEGOLAND California Resort is winning down the street and the president has plans for the resort in the foreseeable future. SeaWorld Orlando’s competitor LEGOLAND Florida Resort is also winning down the street as well. I'm not sure if the president has plans for the resort in the foreseeable future but the Peppa Pig theme park that opened recently cut a lot of people off from going to SeaWorld Orlando along with Aquatica Orlando.
The plural of Lego is Lego. Otherwise 100% Agree. Loved SeaWorld in the 90s -2000s growing up but just not worth annually these days. (Orlando location btw)
So a small peppa pig theme park in Orlando is driving away a drastic amount of people from SeaWorld? Bs. SeaWorld is doing just fine. Lego land has a big IP behind it, that’s why they attract crowds.
Legoland Florida visitors per year 2022: 1.5 million
SeaWorld Orlando Visitors per year: 4.5 million.
Legoland is getting slammed right now, so not sure where your point is. Legoland is appeasing to families while SWO is switching to teens. As for SWSD in Cali, they pulled in 3.5 million in 2022, while Legoland Cali pulled around 3 million. That’s closer than Orlando, but SWSD is still beating Legoland. To say that Legoland is cutting people off is like saying 5 star pizza is hurting dominos. That’s just not true. Also if SeaWorld saw its record numbers in 2022, doesn’t that mean that Legoland lost customers because they went to SeaWorld compared to Legoland? That’s your logic, so you deal with it
I don't really agree with this. The issue with Legoland Florida is it's location, Seaworld is inbetween Universal and Disney, like 1 exit away from both. To get to Legoland you have to go down to Winter Haven which is 45 minutes to an hour with traffic. Legoland is targeting little kids while Seaworld is targeting thrill seekers and teens.
Well atleast it’s still alive in Abu dhabi (I didn’t watch the video yet)
As someone who lives legit 10 min from seaworld sd, although i dint agree with the way they treat their animals, the stuff theyve added to the parks (rides, shows, and seasonal events) really has made an impact and some if their events are like talk of the town everyone goes (specifically the halloween and Christmas events)
They never abused their animals at all. Blackfish was full of misinformation, which is why it’s no longer on streaming sites like Netflix. The only thing they really did was make things more educational with a little bit of theatrical music.
@@Kingvlogs156 Even if blackfish had some things wrong, there's no possible way Orcas with how intelligent they are should be put in those tanks for the very same reason why we don't have large sharks and or whales in our aquariums. Putting those animals that travel miles upon miles of ocean in tanks like that is the abuse, especially when those animals shown signs of depression
@@Kingvlogs156 You should still consider the points brought up in blackfish and the amount of evidence and documents it brings up to back up their own claims. Even if you do not like the film itself, you have to acknowledge all of the data of orca attacks, legal papers, and the autopsy of dawn brancheau and how batshit inappropriate seaworld's response was to the public vs witness testimonies.
Both Blackfish (2013) and The Cove (2009) are free on youtube if you'd like to see them for yourself.

2024: The death of SeaWorld is upon us
And yet six flags is still around. So will seaworld.
Both still alive, Six Flags mega expanding with the merger, and both are still kicking.
2029: SKYNET nukes the world

I have fond memories of going to sea world, aquatica, and bush gardens 3 days in a row with my parents. If sea world wants to succeed it should target people like my parents that have young kids and are willing to go to the parks all year round.
It’s a good idea
80% of Blackfish had been found to be misleading or false. So it’s not just a few occasions that they’re unfair, it’s a mountain of occasions. And the abuse that allegedly took place happened in other defunct locations that were NOT SeaWorld. It’s like the equivalent of pointing out human rights abuses done by Nestle and directing the anger towards a company that’s not Nestle.
More like 80% of blackfish that has been true.
Seriously this report is made by someone from SeaWorld and this feels like it has little to no Proof.
It was more of a hit piece rather than a accurate documentary I mean it’s very obviously themed to be shocking
@@manicstatic370 I would say that the worst course of action, or in this case inaction, that SeaWorld made was not taking CNN and Magnolia Films to court for defamation.
It doesn’t take a lot to know that an orca should not be living in a pool.
@@iced_latteZ that goes for most aquariums
Growing up in Orlando myself, LOTS of great memories from Universal, Sea World, and Disney.
Wish them well........ They need leadership that actually cares about the Brand and the Brand's Die-Hard Customers/Fans.
They need to leave the animals alone
10:31 Love that Cat In The Hat is one of the most quoted things on this channel
Seaworld should make an aquarium that has no live fish where it's all strictly projections but still an aquarium, they could then retheme dining with Orcas into a projection based restaurant too then they could remove the show arenas and open new attractions while having an animal experience without dealing with backlash and they could relocate the animals to like rescues or find somewhere or even just keep them till they croak and maybe even change the shows into like movie like attractions where your watching CGI interactive shows imagine Turtle Talk but with the sealions or cool attractions based on Orcas and Dolphins where there show stages stand today
What about zoos and animal kingdom and other aquiums? Or even pets, farm animals and work animals? Like the US milltary has been working with dolfins for a while now and Seaworld can't?
@GreenBlueWalkthrough but none get the backlash seaworld does I'm all for Seaworld keeping the animals but they're not even continuing their breeding program and at this rate the only other alternative is seaworld completely having 0 animal type attractions at least in this case there's still something
I’ve seen an animatronic dolphin video before, saying it was developed as an idea for parks like seaworld to use an alternative for capturing live animals
That sounds like the lamest thing ever
@@qwertyuiopyt5877 SeaWorld usually never relied on breeding for its animals, as most are rescues. The only animal that was commonly bred were Orcas, and they have stopped breeding Orcas a while ago.
Tbf, Seaworld was how I fell in love with dolphins as a child.
Edit: I know Seaworld is a bad place. I don't support Seaworld in their decision making. It was just that the park and the movie Flipper got me into dolphins. I watched Blackfish and it changed my perception forever. Cetaceans don't belong in swimming pools.
And did you noticed I said "TBF", that stands for "to be fair", it doesn't mean I support cetaceans in captivity.
I’m not sure why because that’s not how dolphins act. There is nothing similar to how a dolphin acts in the wild and how a dolphin acts in a bathtub.
@@user-fn9td9kg6u well they did say "as a child." Presumably a child discovering these animals for the first time isn't already some kind of expert marine biologist.

I work in the payments industry. If you do go to Seaworld bring cash, or if you do use your card you can dispute the 5% surcharge as the major card brands are only allowed to surcharge up to 3% nationwide as of 2023. Save your receipts!
Hard to bring cash to Seaworld, when they have gone cashless. So being cashless do they still charge the surcharge?
@@TracyDowhaniuk As of around 3 weeks ago, the surcharge seems to be alive and well. This was the only major complaint I had with my recent day at SW.
If they can't operate with the prices for food, merch, etc. where they are without charging the 5%, its time to just be honest about it and raise all the posted prices by that 5% rather than adding a dishonest "surcharge", while dishonestly posting the lower prices.

The Bite of 2027
They will not. Most like they will fill in the pools and flatten it out to make more space for rollercoasters, especially with their new "Coaster Capital of Orlando" marketing.
I noticed the huge room with the small fish, which makes me wonder why the orca, penguin, dolphin, and polar bear areas couldn't be made to be HUGE! Not to mention I think they should be given toys and hoops to play with, as orcas and dolphins are very intelligent and deserve to have enrichment in their tanks. The tanks TO THIS DAY are still small, and the orcas and dolphins only have SHOWS as "entertainment" [more for the people then for them]. Honestly, if they won't make the tanks bigger and better, then I think they should retire ALL of the bigger animals [even seals] and focus on smaller fish and the thrill rides. I'd even go as far as to say they should COMPLETELY retire the Shamu name, brand, and theming. I am glad that Marineland and Miami Seaquarium are rightfully getting called out and having all eyes be focused on their questionable animal care [with multiple news reports], now I hope the same will happen with Seaworld [and most zoos in general]. R.I.P to the original Shamus, Kiska, and Kathy [the dolphin who played Flipper], they all deserved better.
Expanding the tanks would cost money. Companies don't like to spend money. It's really that simple
They don't need toys they don't need more space they need to go home where they belong in the ocean period, this really just goes to show how sick people really are, I don't like this at all, the luxury of the big powerful countries yall worry about how you will kidnap and enslave animals while some of us are thinking of ways to stop this whole BS because this is not right, wild animals don't play with toys there are not humans and stopping thinking for them like yall even know them like that, the world only knows less than 10% of whats in the ocean and yall still want to mess with mother nature, no wonder why there's global warming because humans don't care about anything but their own selfish needs to fulfill their boredom by doing this to these beautiful creatures that did no harm to anyone, my heart is sooo broken
I respect you, please forgive for how I came out but am just sooo angry at everything that the western world is doing and its affecting all of us as a whole as humanity, as children of God, we were sent here to protect these animals but now I see clearly the evil that's at play and its soo sad that most innocent souls like you don't even know the truth about what is really going on behind closed doors in you seaworld what ever you call it shows, this is all the devils work, the devil literally placed a knife in our hands as humanity and we choose to take our own life's along with the very earth God gave us, you know what the sad part is almost 99% of people in the world have no idea what thy truly support, all along we have been paying and fueling the destruction of the earth and for humanity as we know it, I rather die for a good cause than work this earth with lost souls
Interested to see how this plays out. Their are not to busy on the weekdays so something must be up. Needs a huge revamp with their park operations part, they’re cutting so many corners it’s show with slow dispatches and one trains on every coaster. They are almost out of room to shove more coasters in!
Disney is the company that should be done. Seaworlds changed a lot and id rather see them building coasters.
At the end of they day, they’re SeaWorld not CoasterWorld
@@tinsote7176maybe it could be a could name change tho. They could get a bunch of fish tanks and be ocean world.
Sea world San Diego actually owes the city 2-3 years of rent and they haven’t paid the city said they might take them to court
I would never go to Seaworld but ending the breeding program was major. I don’t understand how people don’t understand they won’t have anymore whales in captivity once these die.
I went to Seaworld back in 2022 and I can certainly say that things really haven't improved in the Orlando park whatsoever and if anything else the animals feel like they're completely secondary if not outright usef as accessories to other attractions or things within the park. Even though they've added a few new rides Most of them were either down or simply not operatin When we went , we did go on a couple of them and they were a fun but They just felt like less versions of other better rides in other parks.
There are just a ton of stores there that are just glorified gift shops all throughout the park As they really try to get you in there to buy stuff you dont need.
One huge major problem, especially with the Orlando park, is the fact that the location of all the rides. And even the animals are so far.Apart from one another that you have to circumnavigate the entirety of the park do you even be able to see half the stuff they even have there and there's no easy shortcut to cut across things. Sometimes they outright just close their bridges and you have to just walk around the main outside of the park to get to anything interesting.
At one point we got so bored in the park.We literally just did all the rides and activities you could do in the sesame street section of the park which even for a small kid's arew felt like an after thought compared to what they have in busch gardens tampa.
Mind you we also went during the height of the christmas season for parks and yet sea world just felt so dead. Even the most crowded sections of the park were really not that bad compared to other parts i've been to. Most people seem to mostly care about the seal/ Dolphin shows and the penguins and that was about it.
The killer whale show, although bringing in a crowd, certainly felt a lot less enthusiastic about what they were seeing and it's turned into a glorified pseudo educational shell since the trainers can't enter the water with the killer whales and have to stand at least 5 to 10 feet away from the tank at all times. They are still pushing the same narratives. They were during the blackfish documentary about the Killer whales life spans and etc. Having learned nothing about lying to the public it seems.
Literally one of the best coaster parks period. I don’t go there for animals 😂😂
They're not closing all the rides down are they?

Dont let this place die they provide a place for people who love these animals to research and show new generations the grandness and love of this world. Let disney die not sea world
They really need to get rid of the shows and all larger scale animals. I went to the Orca show a couple years ago and it was truly vile how they have attempted to shift the narrative to conservation, while simultaneously making these poor creatures do backflips and splash water into the crowd. They could easily focus on the rides and coasters while continuing a marine theme.
They do have credit for saving a grey whale though I think they can focus on building larger tanks and improving their lifestyle
If you ask me they should just replace the orcas with hot ladies diving. That’s the only reason I’d go there anyways.
If Sea World wants a name change that'll change people perspective on them, maybe they should go with something that references the Busch Gardens name, since Busch Gardens is already well known for being a thrill ride park with animals. Maybe "Busch Seas" or "Busch Ocean" or whatever.
I don’t think they could if they wanted to. The Busch name is from when they were owned by anheuser Busch, the Budweiser company, and Busch gardens name wise was grandfathered in. After the split, I don’t think they can use the name on any new properties. The parks won’t be renamed I’m sure.

@@jonjonzz42 that is a very true point. When I was last at BGT, Montu was running one train, which made the wait painfully slow, and this was a Saturday during spring break. I was lucky Gwazi’s crew was incredible for the first half of the day, and it kept the line moving. Made the wait only 20 minutes and is the reason I got 6 rides on gwazi last visit. It’s a hit or miss for each ride, which sucks. The thing is that you can’t only criticize SeaWorld, six flags and cedar fair do the same thing.
Naw SeaWorld has Busch Gardens Williamsburg. I highly doubt they go out

This is wild because the SeaWorld here in San Antonio seems to constantly get a hell of a lot of visitors still. At least from what I've seen, but that could definitely be wrong on my part
This guy is yapping about nothing. SeaWorld has an average yearly attendance of 4.5 million. With their new rollercoaster a year type-thing they'll surely receive more
It was cheaper for me to buy season passes because you get free admissions you can use
If they close down SeaWorld where are all the animals gonna go?? That’s the main reason why they’ll stay open and why I’ll continue to support them. Yes Orcas don’t belong in the tanks but they are no longer breeding them so this will be the last generation of Orca in captivity plus SeaWorld is turning more into an amusement park with roller coasters with an ocean theme which I think is good. 🐳 🐬 🌊 🎢
This. They are no longer breeding the orcas and it’s not realistic to release them into the wild when they’ve been raised in captivity. Plus many of their marine mammals are rescues. As much bad publicity as they got, they do a lot of animal rescue and rehabilitation. Especially for endangered species.
👍 Same. After the last Orcas pass, they can always use the space for other wildwife and/or rides.

I can say with certainty that most parks in the US haven’t even gotten back to 2022 levels. It’s one of the main reasons Six Flags and Cedar Fair are merging; there really has been a slowdown in the industry as a whole.
IMO a lot of that boost in 2022 were from people who never visited these parks before as they were some of the first things to fully open. Now those same people aren't returning to the parks as it's not their thing
I believe I heard at one point that BG Williamsburg helps United’s profits a TON so shoutout to the far more ethical brand for sticking through it and keeping the vibes
If it hadn't been for all the visits to Sea World in the late 1970s when I lived in San Diego, I probably wouldn't be as interested in sea life as I am today. But, you know, it's "mean" to have a place that promotes sea life and conservation, because it requires the park having easy access to study the sea animals and find ways to help them thrive in the wild.
They do nothing to help the animals. In fact, they often lie about animals in captivity. Like the cause of the collapsed dorsal fin and the lowered life span of marine mammals in captivity
Why this
Imagine if Seaworld actually aimed to save, rehabilitate, conserve, and educate like a GENUINE government aquarium. You could ride roller coasters AND have your daughter learn why certain algae is important for an entire eco system. Instead its, "Watch this prisoner flap his fins!"
Seaworld has aimed to save. Your life, Propaganda exactly like black fish which is 80% untrue and proven as such. SeaWorld does a lot of great things for animals and spends a large amount of resources on the betterment of aquatic life in the wild. They sponsor and run multiple sea rescues and manatee rehabilitation programs. You're disingenuous and like those people who wrongly pushed against elephants being in circuses, you're wrong.
I only been to SeaWorld San Diego once back in 2014 and haven't been back since. Not after knowing the mistreatment of the Orcas.
*Most* of the orca treatment is a lie
The park in Orlando seems to be doing well these days. I renewed my AP. Great concerts, coasters, and a fun thing to do.
Balena Productions refrence 👀
I went to sea world in San Diego last year and I was sooooooo disappointed I never heard a lot about sea world I thought it was a giant aquarium not a amusement park and wanted to see animals not rides and it was the worst place I went to on my trip
Watch blackfish and you will know why
I wish they’d have sued whoever produced that movie for defamation.
I bet they tried
What was innacurate?
This is right up there with the fools who believe disney is about to go out of business despite the fact that they have filled up the parks, their genie+ system is sold out right now despite being $50 for all parks, and park attendance numbers are still vastly superior to all the other parks. They are still going strong with a huge amount of money flowing in. As for sea world, its a lot busier than you realize. They may not have the space to carry as much people as disney but their park attendance is by no means as poor as many other parks. With the water parks also filling up pretty good with spring weather warming up its doubtful that sea world is gonna be going bankrupt any time soon. Honestly as far as I see it sea world is still gonna be what it has always been which is a mix of rides, animals, and shows. They have more coasters on the way. They have a new hotel on the way. They have a lot of new things in the works and it shows no signs of stopping so sea world is in no way dead. PETA lovers despite giving tons of money to peta to kill sea world will only find they are wasting their money on kill shelters while sea world continues its efforts to rehab animals from across florida. All that has been accomplished in the end is prove that in no way is sea world dead.
From stock market news -- SeaWorld to change its corporate name to United Parks & Resorts -- Theme-park operator has been mired in controversy over its treatment of orcas .
SeaWorld ownership of Busch Gardens remains bothersome for me. They're just not great at operations.
1:47 um actually orca and killer whale are two different names for the same species.
I can see seaworld surviving if it abandoned the animal shows. Instead become a water park/theme park and keep the conservation/animal rehab aspect as well. Only animals they can viably keep would likely be fish in aquariums and maybe some seals and penguins. The dolphins and whales need to go, those animals just aren't meant to be contained.
Sea world is growing they r better than almost all 6 fkags parks sea world orlando is a 3 day park if u do tje waterpark
Honestly, I think a good solution to this is for them to continue the amusement industry, and transition to Projecter and animatronic creatures! They will still provide the happy immersion energy and being more safe! I hope I don't have to say goodbye to my home park, Busch Gardens Williamsburg!
I would go to Seaworld when we go to Orlando in 2026 as we are huge rollercoaster enthusiasts, but only if the Orca show was completely phased out.
Why only if the orca show was phased out?
@@shamrock6975 Because a tank is not the place to keep Orcas.
I mean, what would you do with the orcas? They'd still have to stay in captivity till they die since you can't just dump them into the ocean
@@AudreyMealiff Its among the largest orca tank in the world. Also if they released the orcas they would all just die.
@@rosarolli I said phase out the show, so retire the animals they have and don't force them to perform.
they have a lot more stuff now and are getting more people there
I really like the future to be the park will still be open but having the aquarium and every show with animals in captivity banned for life.
they lack IPs. IPs are what makes disney and universal so popular.
I hate blackfish, I love Sea World! I’m sorry to see it go!
You support the captivity of whales and dolphins? Are you mentally deranged?
The old saying in retail if you get the kids parents will come. Well now if you make the kids mad you will lose the parents is still in effect and my sister’s kids haven’t forgotten 🥴.
I dgaf about their practices... I love the place and will continue to go as long as it exists. Yeah, I'm that guy. It would be nice if it got better, but I'll go either way (unless a better option comes out).
They just opened a giant Sea World Abu Dhabi... hmm...
Seaworld is the reason why I love orcas today sure they had their hard times but they have the potential to rebrand their company instead of a animal show related park it can be the first marine hospital park where all the stadiums are torn down and replaced with massive facilities and tank expansions and they now acually care for the orcas
Cause there wild populations are actually in danger
I recently found they had toilet paper chemicals in their liver and lots of toxic chemicals can kill them all
Funny enough, I went to San Antonio Sea World recently. ( April 7th )
wth I didn't get the notification, anyways, I don't know I like ice breaker, that's pretty fun
Honestly, Free Willy does a better representation than Blackfish. Right?
As a lifelong Sea World fan, I let the blackfish hype get to me for a few months. That’s what it was…hype. After doing my own research, I realized that the mistakes that were made in putting killer whales in captivity originally aren’t the fault of the current whales that are there now. It’s not fair for people to want these animals to be condemned to death in a seapen so they can sleep better at night .
It was sexy to not like Sea World anymore. Personally, the thing that has been turning me off is that they have isolated their hard-core audience of people who love and appreciate the ability to see marine animals. I love roller coasters however, there are other parks I would rather visit for amusement park rides. Unfortunately, I don’t think Sea World will ever be the same. The Park, I grew up, loving as a child are gone and always will be thanks to a portion of their customers that will never come back, and they need to come to accept
I worked at Gatorland when Dawn died. I had lived just down the street from her in St. Cloud. Most of my coworkers knew her, many had worked with her. Knowing what I know from personal experience OSHA & CNN are the real villains of the story. SeaWorld is the hero. The dip in 2023 is because revenge travel was over. I'm sure the creator has decent intentions, but not great at interpreting the information. Mostly, just click bait.
LOL to MY OWN RESEARCH!
Using conspiracy nut phrases like that ain't gonna make you look smart!
@@TheAndyCraven wow I love how egotistical you sound
I dont think that word means what you think that word means. Soz.
@@TheAndyCravenI know! How dare this person think critically and do their own research! Don’t they know that CNN documentaries are absolute truth?!
Where will Andy Breckman go in his mind if Sea World closes? He'd need a new happy place.
Sea World is on it's last Sea Legs.
(Bad pun, sorry.)
I am curious could sea world killer whale's survive in the wild
Not likely. These are hybrid animals with no natural history, and no survival skills. They may have instincts but survival skills must be taught.
People are saying the new Universal Park is going to put SeaWorld out of business. That’s actually quite the opposite, it will help SeaWorld. If the locals see how packed Universal is, they will end up going to SeaWorld instead. Plus, SeaWorld is shifting it’s focus more towards the locals and offers pass members many great benefits.
Not ocean world :(
Long time fan of this channel but they’re orcas not killer whales
I think if sea world gets a brain on them and lowers prices a bit, keeps putting out coasters and making some new experiences while paying off their dept I feel like they can stay afloat. In San Diego the price for tickets is about $80 and universal Cali is about $110 with disneyland being around $150-$170 (varies depending on which day you go) and I feel like you would never pay MORE for sea world then universal or Disney. So they have that thing going for them. But $80 is a good price I feel like. There’s about 5-7 good rides, plus about 3-4 shows and plenty of aquarium and animal attractions. I feel like you get your moneys worth that way. Lowering food prices would be the next step in the right direction, and ADVERTISER lower prices in commercials to bring guests back to the parks. I went there a few months ago and there was plenty to do, I spent a whole day there and we didn’t even hit every single ride and attraction. If they do this shit ^ they will stay alive forsure. But if they keep raising prices and not really advertising and not really do anything about the situation then yes they will be in deep shit if they already aren’t in deep shit. But if I were sea world I would be taking full advantage of epic universe opening, I guarantee people will want to go to other Florida parks as well. Sea world Florida should be having some huge coaster open slightly before epic universe opens. Then when people travel to Florida they also might go to sea world. But they definitely need to take advantage of that and lower prices so when those people do come they will notice lower prices. With social media the lower prices should just spread around on their own getting it out to more people without sea world having to do any marketing. Damn they should just hire me already lol
The decreased numbers are only because EVERY international guest was forced in 2020 AND 2021 to go in 2022 instead. That's it!
seaworld is my irl Rollercoaster Tycoon park
Prolly shoulda checked SEAS on the stock market before regurgitating 15 year old material.
Seaworld isn't going anywhere. Well United parks and Entertainment isnt, the Seaworld brand name might go one day. I kind of expect them to convert the 3 American Seaworld parks to Busch Gardens, although Tampa and Orlando are pretty close, still dooable I think.
Obviously you haven't been to the parks this week. 😂
Economy sucks right now, so people are really tight with money. Places like this are ultimately luxury or fun money expenses. So of course SeaWorld and other parks are not going to do well in 2023 and 2024, even more so since they chose to increase prices at the worst time.
All this negative on seaworld. There are 24 ocean aquariums in florida with captured sealife. Nothing in them....
Yeah they're f**ked 💸😒
I see SeaWorld doing good by the end of the decade, but they will have a rough ish next couple of years as the recession hits. Theme parks are recession resistant industries, but not recession proof.
Universal and Six Flags (Cedar Fair) are the only 2 companies i can see improving revenue and attendance during the recession. With Universal opening a new park, and Six Flags saving money with the merger, and the Six Flags parks stabilizing with Cedar Fair management.
Great video.
You should see how Lolita lives
