Very thorough crash testing on the 2010-2012 Ford Escape. After watching the tests several times, my conclusion is that I would buy a good used Escape and feel safe if in an accident. Robert Reynolds June 17, 2020; Kansas City, MO Thank you, RealSafeCcars!

Up Close and Personal I’m with you on that, I drive a 2011 Escape V6 AWD and it’s great on the highway. Plenty of power when you need it, the suspension is well dialled in although a little stiff, the AWD system works flawlessly, it creates an optical illusion of feeling like a larger car when it isn’t and handles well like you said. As far as safety goes, the frontal, offset and side impact tests show how well designed the airbag system is, the only score the escape failed was the roof strength test (typical with most SUVs) performance wise, I clocked mine at just under seven seconds from a standstill to 60 mph (2010-12 Escapes have an updated engine to 240hp and Flex Fuel capability)
      Highly recommend the Ford Escape!

      I bought a 2011 in Dec of '19.
3.0 V6 XLT, AWD. Couple of weeks ago we had 12+inches of snow. I was out driving at 2am just to play in the snow. Lucky I had the next day off 🤣. I was driving in parking lots that hadn't been plowed yet. 12+ inches of snow and went like there was no tommorow. Bring on the Snow!

@@289cobra9 Hell yeah brother! Escapes are unstoppable in snow, I did an experiment after work with some deep chunky snow intentionally trying to get it anchored deep in the snow. Dropped it into "L" on the shifter and put my foot down. She simply chewed through the snow like nothing! :-)
