    Courir le Mardis gras. Ici en Europe pendant la période du Mardi gras , c'est un peu la folie !!On allume des grands feux pour brûler l'hiver. Je suis Belge et les Gilles de Binche font la fête en buvant du Champagne avec des Huitres .

      the younger crowd all hang out it's the older ones that do it separate but last Monday the dance the night before Mardi Gras Geno delafose played , they're a really good one of my favorite zydeco bands they're all black and they played on the part that was mainly white people on the other side of the street they have another place for bands to play and that's just happens to be the part of town where the colored people live everyone there pretty much gets along they've all just lived in the same parts of town for like a century and plus.. basically the racism is with the really old people the young people, are not about that they .. also since everybody's related there's more biracial relationships and marriages .. when I go I see a lot of interracial couples in the younger groups . But a lot of people that are older aren't rascist they just had one side of the street segregated by choice out of tradition mainly because I declare music is faster more upbeat then Cajun music , but the past few years the zydeco bands have been playing on the south side and it has not been separate, which is good I don't like that racism crap my son is biracial and he loves it out there

    • @melissafaulkenberry9134
      @melissafaulkenberry9134 Před 6 lety +1

      Melissa Faulkenberry thanks for your response! That’s pretty interesting. I’m from New Orleans, so this is all a bit foreign to me. At first glance, it was a bit weird, simply because I’m used to our Mardi Gras. Then, I began to wonder about the diversity. I’ve watched quite a bit of Chicken Run videos on here and never saw any black people. It just piqued my curiosity because I know how the south can be sometimes.

      @melissafaulkenberry9134 Před 6 lety +1

      Ginia Maxwell they ride horses they don't dress up as much as they used to but they also ride their four wheelers and have more hip music they do have a separate parade though but I think at the farm houses and stuff they all participate, the pointy hats and all that is called a capuchon it's from the old part of France that had migrated to Nova Scotia it's just more country but they have a different parade called the no-limit parade and it's actually a little bit just as fun but with better zydeco music more to beat LOL they've been doing it this way for a few hundred years, they just started combining the street dance s and the street party but they still have two parades in each town

      @fefemyluv Před 6 lety +2

      Mardi Gras dates back hundreds of years before Alabama existed. And no it didn't. When the Cajuns were thrown out of Nova Scotia and moved down to Louisiana the traditions came along. It was only have they moved into Louisiana did it make it's way to Alabama.
