Yes it is true that God is One God. However, He holds 3 offices in which He expresses Himself in different ways. The same can be said for a man who may be a Husband, father, and a businessman--one man operating in 3 roles. Or a human possessing a Spirit, soul and body. Another example of the Trinity is water. Water is manifested in 3 forms--liquid, solid (ice) and steam. The liquid represents God, who sustains life; solid represents Christ who can be touched in this life; and steam represents the Holy Spirit who fills the atmosphere with powe to live life effectively. The notion is not supported in the bible if we take into account other biblical truths. Indeed the soul has no need for a material body, the soul is eternal as God is eternal-made in the image of God. However, the soul is not made. Something that is eternal has no beginning or end. The same Corinthian verse affirms this in saying: _". . . nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable."_
The material body is a complex arrangement of molecules wholly constructed due-for the most part-to the presence of the individual-soul. There are many truths in the bible and there are contradictions due I believe, in part to, mistranslations which do not align with other parts of the Bible IMHO. I'm not a Christian, but don't get me wrong, I'm all for the teaching of Lord Jesus. His words are perfection, so much so I shake reading them and the hairs on my body stand on end, and yet there are as I pointed out mistranslations which results in awful conclusions. Nevertheless, the Lord is in control, and just as it took 2000 years before the abolition of slavery by dint of Christian ethics, I trust more biblical wisdom will emerge in time.

In order to be in heaven you need a resurrected body which no dead person has until judgement day 1 Thess 4:16-17. Only Christ has resurrected from the dead hence only person in heaven. Don’t ignore them or hurl criticisms from a distance. We approach them with a gentle spirit while making sure we are equipped with the attitude of humility making sure that we will not also be tempted. They only need to repent.
