I saw your kickstarter and never pulled the trigger then and scoured google to try to find these again. By random chance I just managed to find that I had bookmarked it on my Firefox (I basically only use Chrome). I'm still very interested in the first editions, but do you have any idea of a timeframe for the 2.0's?

@@TheRealMasonYoung thanks for your interest and for the kind words, Mason! - Because of the COVID situation, our development on 2.0 has slowed down and our overall timeline has been pushed. We were going to be launching Fall/Winter 2020. But because the situation with the world is so fragile and ever-changing, we aren't exactly sure when the new launch date will be..but to be safe, I would say sometime early-mid 2021.

Some will probably see this boot in a negative light and brand it as being "Hipster" or too "Pansy" for their tastes because what they're expecting is a rough and tough boot that can survive a nuclear fallout. This is really not what this is designed for. From the similar silhouette to the general construction, this is designed for someone who usually wears something like Converse or a type of runner and are looking for a more protective footwear that they don't have to be scared of roughing up. This isn't designed to carry you up and down scaffolding all day or climbing ladders nonstop. This is designed for a regular person to not have to worry about how they abuse their shoes and feel a level of protection compared to what they usually wear. Lets say this person who DOES wear runners/skate shoes as their usual footwear needs something more protective/durable. What are they more likely to get? Which one is more practical for their lifestyle? The massive Redwing LoggerMax or this?

Love the look of the boot, but for now, I'm still in the break-in phase. It's taken me a little longer than Issac...since I'm mostly wearing them around the house. Both my feet have a pretty high bridge, so that makes my break-ins take a little longer; especially because this boot is kind of a hybrid of pull-on and laces. I have been wearing them most of the day, every day to get that part stretched and it's getting ever closer to perfect.
They look great with my stuff though. And like Issac showed in his unboxing: great packaging, that box, wow. Plus a nice sticker and a note from Matthew Walters. Very cool!

Wish you can review more rocky hiking boots! You're definitely appreciated among the boot world/community. Keep doing you! One thing I would suggest changing is maybe ybe music to be more modern to appeal to the younger crowd. Not something to robotic. Keep killin it!

Do you think that your comment about support, is that this is more of a sneaker style sole and if you're used to a more supportive boot, then it doesn't seem as supportive? Just curious. Thanks!
