- The track 350Z rebuild is back underway. I pick up a mountain of tires to hit the ground running in the spring and the car is physically off to Lavigne Motorsports to start installations.

Hey thanks for watching. If there is anything super important you want me to document in the rebuild in a video let me know. Thanks!
that green S2k at the end... CLEAN!
This is going to be am interesting winter! I'm looking forward to seeing what comes out in the spring.
Getting close to picking up a G35 track car and WOW this channel is a great resource. Pretty entertaining videos but your stuff is such a breath of fresh air compared to all the other "advice" videos out there. Obviously my miles will vary but real insight into a real Z racer is super valuable. Good luck with the build and the upcoming season!
Thanks. Yeah I try to be factual and helpful. This Z/G are pretty popular track platforms now. Back when I started there wasn’t much out there at all.
Can’t wait for you to finally run boost. And show those GT3 guys what a VQ can really do haha
We don’t need boost for all of that. We will be pretty close regardless.
I’m really happy seeing this. I’ve had this idea for a while and didn’t know if anyone had tried it. I wanted to machine the top part of it so I could build a custom intake like you have but I wanted it to be fluted and except some custom ductwork I have made for a TwinTurbo set up. I’m still mentally going through the engineering, but this is going to happen in the spring for sure. I was never a big fan of the internal bracing so to see that the eliminated Really helped my idea. I’d be very interested in seeing other engineering done on that car specifically to the suspension that may be different. Not necessarily coil overs but how are you can adjust it or putting polyurethane bushings on some part of the vehicle and not others, etc. Thank you very much for your content,I appreciate it. To me, you and Darrin from MotordyneG35 are the OGs. I want my G to perform on a F1 track, as well as the street. There are some street mods that really just seem to go against the spirit of the car, just my two cents. Thanks again
Thanks. I hope to have an update on the build soon worth posting.
I've got my 04 torn apart in the garage right now and really excited to see how different it will perform when the new season begins in February. waiting on some bushings to be delivered. I'm doing solid subframe and solid differential and I think that's going to feel a lot different.
So glad I found your channel, awesome videos man. I’ve got a 03 base model with greddy TT that I’m converting to a track car to run in nasa, your videos have helped a lot.
Thanks!
Let’s race TT vs NA!
@@2THPWR let’s do it! You ever come down to VIR?
Not yet but maybe some day. I don’t like coming down to your high risk high reward tracks like vir for a weekend course. Easy to push too hard being competitive and wreck big time. Even our local tracks that are risky I take several days to build up to.
@@2THPWR i hear ya, on a side note, what camber are you running front and rear? Also, I noticed your running the sway bars middle front and soft rear, did you find that setup best? I’ve got the same sways and have both set to the stiffest setting with tokico d specs
I'm just here for the sound clips.lol.
I guess they will eventually be nastier
I guess they will eventually be nastier 👍
Idk if you have these or not GK tech made some steering rack solid bushings that replace the OEM rubber ones. For 60 USD. More consistent feel throughout longer drives....longer than 2 min. Especially if your car already has the OEM ones worn out
Good tip
Curious to know which wheels and offset you are going to go with for the 18x11 setup. Looking forward to your updates. Cheers!
I started doing time attack myself I have been looking at the Toyo proxes rr treadwear 40….what are your thoughts on that over the Pirellis ? Keep up the good work man thanks
Hi again, Michael. I could use your advice. I'm looking at Enkei RPF1's and the 17's are incredibly light, like 17 lbs vs 19 lbs on the 18's. I was dead set on 18's but the 17's would fit more easily at 9.5", so I can run square 275's. Are there any drawbacks to 17's vs 18's? Thanks, man. Looking forward to the unveiling of your new build.
Only tire selection in all the good tires and widths seems to be better in the 18s across the board
Hi Michael have you ever used a square tyre set up on your Z ?
Always
Any major changes to the motor or just a refresh?
Most covered in ep.4 so far. Revised larger intake and plenum. 90mm gm throttle body. Haltech ECU. Repairs. When it made 335 whp it had valve damage. New block and valves to restore compression. Hoping for over 350 whp, maybe even 360 whp?
Are you going to put pistons in it? Aren't they the main point of failure when pushing more power out of the DE's?
Hey! The built engine already has rods and high comp pistons. The last build list is here. czcams.com/video/88cN6SU5Wj0/video.html
You must be new here! Welcome!😂
What year 350z is it?
