Today we are going to look at a couple of old treasures from yesteryear.. Inquiries: shum.jax.info@gmail.com. Website: www.mywildwildwest.com ALBUM IS AVAILABLE! www.the sightliners.com
Those old Freightliners are bulit proof trucks. Old is the way to go as far as am concerned. New trucks you just drive until the check engine light comes on. Then throw another two thousand dollars at it . If your lucky. Have a great weekend.
I’m really liking the big condo sleeper, but that black Freightshaker has my vote. You talk about nostalgia and smells bringing back the memories, the one thing that always gets me is the little hanging tree fresheners. The spice scent to be exact. My dad always had that one on his truck and to this day that smell brings me back.
Awesome once again brother!!! That’s what life is most definitely all about. The Nostalgia of where & what ya come from and of course, where ya been. Lovn, cherishn & sharin your roots. Awesome seeing wee man Freddie out with ya experiencing it too. 🤟🏽
I have a 1992 FLD120, N14, flat top, I absolutely love that truck, it's been off the road for ten years, I want to see it roll so bad, my plan is to have it going in two years, and park my century, stay strong guys
Come on Holton!! Blue Buffalo definitely deserves to be resurrected and back on the road again. They just do not make trucks like old Blue Buffalo!! Such a beautiful, iconic truck!!
Unfortunately no on the nascar 🙃 I need to talk about it in an upcoming video. It was loads of fun, but just not able to do it again for a few reasons.
Aww... That's a shame ! - Your NASCAR hauler driver videos were more entertaining than the races themselves !! I Just turned 77 years-of-age, ran OTR 1977-2009, & still miss 'The Road'. Your 'productions', take me back to a better time in trucking. THANKS...@@realwildwildwest
The old Freightshakers are cool. They NEED brought back to life. But that 79 F150? Holy Crap I want it!!! It would fit perfect with the 77 and 78 we have right now.
I absolutely hate to big condo sleeper, I run a flatbed and I seem to be in Chicago a lot, so a truck under 10 foot tall is a huge plus to me, I have a 1992 FLD120 flat top 48" sleeper
Memories are priceless. It’s nice to still be able to go back and reminisce of things from your childhood. Now just go make an offer on the dang truck or trade or something.
I didn't catch the year of the old Ford F150, but it's gotta be a 78-79 model with those square headlights.... The interior shots at 18:35 took me straight on back to my childhood and my dad's 1977 single cab. Beautiful memories. And that interior had common elements all the way through the 1991 model year - the skinny metal turn signal, the manual window winders, hexagonal plastic door lock indicator knobs, etc. Good content, Jax - I love the connection you feel to the past. Edit - just noticed the license plate at the end of the video, lol
I am 61 and mom and dad both had trucks in the 70's. I remember all the old freightliners, petes, and kwoppers from that era! I loved the old Mack super liners and Cruise liners
I am old because that blue buffalo doesn't seem like an old truck to me lol! It looks like it is in decent shape for its age! I was in my prime in the early 1990's
I loved this nostalgic trip! You didn't say if the old boy would sell it? What a cliffhanger! 😂 Did anyone else catch Holtons sister comment?? 😅 I had a screw in a motorbike tyre years ago, I couldn't afford a new tyre so I unscrewed the offending screw, put silicone on it and screwed it back in. It lasted the rest of the tyres lifetime 😁👍
Jax I really enjoyed the old stories you guys were telling I was thinking about my first days on the farm on tractors and trucks. I hope you get that freightshaker alot of potential for ya for sure.🇺🇸👍
Did someone say Freightliner restoration content?! That’s our bread and butter. Feel free to check out the channel, we’ve got an FLC in progress and have done a couple FLD’s in the past year or two. Did I mention we love cabover’s too! 😂 Really enjoy the content, keep up the hard work.
Great stories and memories Jax!! A lot of the same for me as I also grew up riding along on cattle/grain/hay hauls... I purchased a few trucks in the last few years, one being a 85 black Freigtliner FLC that has been parked for 20 years. Overhauled it and it is a working OTR truck again. I'm out of Western SD, probably see you on the road sometime. Have a great one! ~Rob~
Love the sleeping truck when mad story ..l when about the same age 3-4 yrs old something happened on the farm yard and I went to the chop building and closed door and got to comfortable and fell asleep...adults were calling for me and trying to offer bribes even in a panic got neighbors to help and 2 hours later found me asleep in the chop building curled up... so the story went...I Never heard a thing
I love that flattop freight shaker 👍. As a retired truck driver, I've driven a lot of rigs. Need to get them rigs back hual'n. Thanks for taking us along memory lane brother
Great video guys! Love hearing the old stories about back when... as a kid I got to ride in a couple of those model Freightliners in the mid-80s and still love them. And for the Ford I have a red 1978 myself.
When I had my trucking company i built a stretched 73 359 triple drive Pete for heavy haul. Twin turbo V12 Detroit, 18 DO trans and lockers on all 3 axles.. selectable..
My first real truck driving was a KW with a 60 series Detroit and it was a beast. Hauling milk from dairies to the plants. I always liked pushing things to the limit back then. Not so much anymore! Great video!!
Swappin out a B model cat for a 60 series is pretty sacrilege. I know the majesty that is the 60 Series fuel mileage, but a 3406b is probably the king of mechanical over the road diesels.
She's a looker.... I remember the 1974 Mack "Rubber Duck" ,I thought it was awesome. I grew up in South East Texas .Saw all kinds of Heavy Duty oilfield semis. Being a pipefitter and Not having to drive those older late 40s thru late 50s .I thought they were beautiful.
The brake saver is the way to go on a B model Cat . Down side is they require "resealing" about every year or so. The factory Jake's are pretty weak on 3406 B - unless your running the "super Jakes" ( they don't make them anymore ) used rebuilt is the only option - if you can find them . As the saying goes " IF IT AIN'T A CAT - ITS A DOG " ..
Dang, the truck brings back memories. I started driving in 86, and that style truck was a Cadillac, a bull haulers caddy. I ran with quite a few. That was when trucking was still fun, a good job, not like now a days. Some of the new trucks are good-looking, and some go with the new wave driver.
I have an 83 flc 120 with the aluminum hood 290 wb that I'm wanting to get back on the road. Was driving all of 21 and part of 22. But a bad over head job locked up the big cam. There is nothing like running those old school trucks up the road.
Good to know that you are Christian people may God bless you all in Jesus name
The black truck is Awesome , flat top , double windshield and all , absolutely worth to bring back and haul some bulls with it ! 🙌👌💯💯
I had the same hustle as a kid, clean out the trucks and keep the found change, this was the mid 80s, and it kept me supplied in transformers
Those old Freightliners are bulit proof trucks.
Old is the way to go as far as am concerned.
New trucks you just drive until the check engine light comes on.
Then throw another two thousand dollars at it .
If your lucky.
Have a great weekend.
man both them trucks need to be brought back to life!
Tuna ….! Ya gotta man ….! And old trucks really need to be out working that’s how they stay alive..

I was curious about the same thing, any NASCAR action this year?
That content was awesome.
And YES!!! get the BLUE BUFFALO going!!! She's a Beauty!!!
Come on Holton!! Blue Buffalo definitely deserves to be resurrected and back on the road again. They just do not make trucks like old Blue Buffalo!! Such a beautiful, iconic truck!!

@@realwildwildwest Sorry to hear that, those videos were a lot of fun!
@@realwildwildwest Bummer deal, but what a AWESOME experience for sure.

C'mon Tuna. Let's get it rolling!!!
at timestamp 16:53 i think Tuna as you call Holton should do as he suggested and start a GoFundMe to get it rebuilt
Smart man with the series 60
That’s a solid truck definitely worth getting it back to life
Holton should restore the Blue Buffalo! Does he have a CZcams channel? He could make a series on its restoration 👍
I absolutely hate to big condo sleeper, I run a flatbed and I seem to be in Chicago a lot, so a truck under 10 foot tall is a huge plus to me, I have a 1992 FLD120 flat top 48" sleeper

I enjoyed & I understand your feelings of bringing back the past. Things seemed simpler & maybe better then. Dave
Freddy is such a good sport🤣His mind was wandering in nostalgia😳
Totally worth it! It’s gota hat rack !! How can you NOT!!👌🏻👌🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 “Merica “
Man Tuna you gotta get that thing going....she's a sweet rig.
Got to keep those classics alive!
The old Ford pickup brought back memories. My Dad bought a 1978 Ford F100 brand new with 3 in the tree. Had it many years.
❤
Put Blu 🐃 back on the road
Blue Buffalo is awesome! Yes that is a rare spec FreightShaker.
OMG! Weed has grown over night it seems. 💙🩵
I love those flds. Bring her back to life!
I am 61 and mom and dad both had trucks in the 70's. I remember all the old freightliners, petes, and kwoppers from that era! I loved the old Mack super liners and Cruise liners
Would love to see blue buffalo on the road!! They just don’t make them how they use to
The ol black freightliner still has the eye bolt cruise control!
Great Video! Thanks
I've got 4 million. Miles on my old fld and it's by far the best truck I've ever had.
Jax, a true man on nostalgia
Man! I miss my 79 Ford 4x4
Love the black truck myself old school truck 100%
I am old because that blue buffalo doesn't seem like an old truck to me lol! It looks like it is in decent shape for its age! I was in my prime in the early 1990's

Another nice thing about those Freightliners is the dash is all the same from like 84 to 07.
Jax I really enjoyed the old stories you guys were telling I was thinking about my first days on the farm on tractors and trucks. I hope you get that freightshaker alot of potential for ya for sure.🇺🇸👍
From the vin number indicates it as being manufactured in 1982.

I would buy it in a truck drivers minute. Such a classic non EDL truck.
You should get it up and running!
I love that flattop freight shaker 👍. As a retired truck driver, I've driven a lot of rigs. Need to get them rigs back hual'n. Thanks for taking us along memory lane brother

The seatbelt thing is so real 🤣

Couldn’t agree more!

Cool memories nice old iron
Always relevant; always interesting; always an entertainer. Thanks for taking us along.
Glad you enjoyed it
Man, that black freightliner is sweet. I hope you can get it. It would be nice to see the ole girl shined up and back on the road.
That ol fld120 deserves to be back on the road. If he don't fix it find out what he'd take for it I'll come get it.
Last time I saw Holten he was loading calves off my truck with a cracked head! I’m still appreciative and still owe him a steak. 😂
Ohhh no kidding?!
Dang, the truck brings back memories. I started driving in 86, and that style truck was a Cadillac, a bull haulers caddy. I ran with quite a few. That was when trucking was still fun, a good job, not like now a days. Some of the new trucks are good-looking, and some go with the new wave driver.

Nice! Take it on.
Awwww ❤ thanks for the trip down memory lane 😍😁😇
Blue buffalo needs to be rebuilt and put back on the road
The Freight liner might be 84 because of the small emblem because I drive an 84 300 inch wheel base 425c cat 15spd double over
I owned and drove both just like those. I sure miss the old days
My dad had a 78 freighliner cab over he had bought brand new. I the memories in that rig. Great video
Why on gods green earth would you take a cat out and put in a Detroit? Cat is where its at! ❤
I would fix it up and drive it that is my vote
Dad had a 1950,s gmc gravel truck .the oll push start peddle on the floor. At 8 I was riding in a hays gravel truck. That was a beast.
