It's interesting how when you hear these voice actresses talk candidly - they actually sound quite different to what they sound like when they deliver their lines (the tone and voice quality...).

My favorite voice for Lara Croft is probably Judith Gibbins, but Keeley Hawes is my second favorite, she sounds great and seems to have a wider acting range. Judith Gibbins might have more acting skills that she didn't get the chance to show off with her few lines in Tomb Raider II & III. I hate Camilla as Lara, but I hate reboot Lara Croft and its game altogether so...

Honestly Jonell was iconic as Lara Croft’s voice but Keeley was definitely one of my favourites. She was a brilliant Lara Croft. Shelley was also great but the reboot girl omg so awful

Gina Pires guys Keely's voice sounds so much more mature than Camilla's. In tomb raider Lara is supposed to be 21 years old, Keeley's voice wouldn't fit.

Im a new time tomb raider fan but seeing the walkthroughs of Tomb Raider Legend I have to admit the classic games were better though well i like the reboot for the story but when it comes to tombs and puzzles the classics are the winners

At 0:13 he says Keeley Hawes voiced Lara seven times! I thought Keeley Hawes voiced Lara only three times in "Legend", "AoD", and "Underworld".
She did Legend ,Anniversary ,Underworld and 2 DLC + 2 Lara Croft games

Camilla is really bad. She is from England but lives in Los Angeles now. Her british accent sound WAY TOO american. And I don't like her voice at all. I play TR9 btw in german.
Except that Lara Croft has traveled all of her life. So she wouldn't HAVE a perfect and flawless British accent.
She grew up traveling. Spending time in other places.
So being around other people who don't have your accent, being educated by them and learning their customs and how they pronounce things, throughout your entire youth... That means nothing, because her parents have British accents?

Except you're interacting with tons of other people as you age and learn their own culture and phrases. As you're taught other languages, of which she knows many in her make-believe world and to properly speak other languages you have to learn their accents.

Lara croft is British aristocracy, shes meant to have been trained to speak English RP from birth like all other titles upper class families, even though no one else in her geographical area would have spoken posh like her. The travelling is a mute point... did you know that keeley is actually cockney? She went through speech therapy to make her sound more refined / upper class.
Lady Lara Croft would have had governesses do the same for her at a young age hence there's no excuse for losing accents

Tbh, the new Tomb Raider games are decent but it'll never top the classics. I like 'em for the story and how they finally made Lara Croft more relatable but Camilla Luddington's voice isn't all that.
I like the original voice actress the most but Keeley did a fine job, she doesn't need to know about the games - it's irrelevant.
