this is an old video but i think the one in the film has some rods in the very end on that last corner to keep the shape when its moving/to weigh that part down (allows defining of the shape) - if you havent added that since, it might be a good shout!

This is the exact same issue i ran into making my pattinson batsuit . I endednup using clips built under the chestpeice to connect it . Nice build
