One of the best album openers ever imo. Certainly for a rock band.
I love how Vessel uses breaths, sighs and little natural "false tones" to enhance the emotional impact of hix vocal performance. "Hypnosis" is another great example of this.

when the album came out and I heard this song for the first time I had full body chills and listened to it on repeat. still one of my absolute favorites.
Atlantic and Missing Limbs are the 2 biggest standouts to me on the album. They always leave me an emotional wreck. Perfect opener, perfect closer
Hell yes, my fave Sleep Token track!! Something rly cool I just learned about This Place Will Become Your Tomb is that when they dropped the first 4 singles I think? there was a number up in the corner of the track art and people figured out that all of them together were the coordinates of Point Nemo. For anyone unaware, Point Nemo is regarded as the most isolated place on the planet. It's a spot in the middle of the Pacific Ocean that is so far away from any emerged island or sailing route that the closest human beings to you would be in outer space on the international space station. It's also where most space craft is decommissioned so it's a veritable spaceship graveyard. ALSO, due to weak currents and its remoteness, there isn't enough nutrients in the water to support much life, so from a biological standpoint, it's a deadzone for larger more advanced life forms.
Thought that was a cool fact, especially given Vessel's metaphor of "eyes like frozen planets orbiting the vacuum I am" and being buried at sea, and such

Atlantic is one of my favourite songs, another one already mentioned in comments is High Water and if you’re still wanting that emotional context then Telomeres is another one.

I love what you were saying about how you feel like you would understand the emotion even if you didn't understand English because of the way Vessel puts emotion into the songs.
That is one of the many things that is truly so special about Sleep Token
No one does vocal delivery like Vessel..he's just incomparable and astounding
And Atlantic is damn high on my ST list

This song has been my favorite and is a great way to introduce people to ST.

It is such a great piece to open an album to, it has so much depth, emotion, and so many unique elements lyrically and musically. I’m so mad that I finally discovered this band and not listened to them sooner! They have music for everyone truly and this band is so unique! Can’t wait to see more content! 🥰

This one speaks to me - fair to say its my fav ST track for sure.
i'm so mad that in my country i can't buy the albums! In these manners i'm old-fashioned, i like to buy the CD, and listen it, offline, without ads, without subbing to some streaming service. Just me, and music. I have to search for a vendor in Hungary.
Sleep Token became quickly my artistic music, i listen it when i do my hobby and draw, or do origami. It is such an inspiring journey.

There's so much water imagery in Sleep Token's stuff; i think it could be a visual metaphor for sea changes in people's lives as they grow over years, for good or ill. Even the album art for This Place Will Become Your Tomb is indicating drowning or allowing yourself to sink.
For recommendations, I'd say definitely scope out High Water, Sugar, and Fields of Elation.
