Songs: 1-Funkhouse Express - Music Makes You Move: /watch?v=EVo_yyBmyxU 2- ??? 3-Drums of soul: /watch?v=kc2Iq_W--eY But I think its a remix or something
THANK YOU!! God seriously no one noticed that he wasnt using his old style. He was trying something new. And just to point out being clean si one thing but style is another. Style is power. And I also agree with others on him not trying as hard.
After countless tries to pitch the original Soul Drums to match this version i've come to the conclusion that this is an different recording. My guess is it's Soul Drums on Bernard Purdie's Jazz Groove Sessions In Tokyo, the last track on the vinyl version of that album
It's called a bboy lifestyle. Being in hip hop, you have to encompass all elements...swag is just another sub-element to the 4 main elements. The "gangster" swagger you speak of is from mainstream America. The swag that Born has is just his flavor, his style. Born has been around for a real LOOONNG time. He's kept it fresh since the beginning and in no way is he any kind of poser or gangster. It's hip hop. Unity through expression of people in the elements of hip hop. Peace.
and oh yea remember, born is also, like i said "also" in mighthy zulu kingz, so its all about flavor, footwork, bringing it back to oldschool but with originality, and dancing to the music....for all of you out there who thinks why born didint pull out amazing power like vero did....
That may be the case, but what I'm saying, is that he's never shown any signs previously that that's the way his dancing works. Plus, I'd like to believe he's sets would be better than what was displayed here.
Props to both, during this battle Born's style looks so much different than what it used to be. I agree that his old stuff flows way better. The blow ups, I'm kind of tired seeing that as well but hey it's the man's signature move wait until he creates a new one then.
Quite old here. Both were good, but I'm sure u guys all notice Vero gave it out more with time set & energy. Born's set were too short. Pay attention to the time he went in & u'll see.
@Aminder7 Oh and lol. Better foundation. That's more then obvious. Vero uses his foundation as support for his sets. Born uses his foundation as his sets. If you judge this then yes, Vero won, he actually destroyed the beat but did Born actually try? 1:38 he gives up. 2:41 short style set with his flag thrown in just for cheers. Its pretty clear he didn't.
yeah know what you mean, but i actually met born about a month ago and his new style is amazing. ppl cant see it now but just wait till you guys see him come out soon. hes rockin the music like non other :)
IMO vero's sets have more power and style in them whereas born has more footwork and style with a bit of power, and i guess most ppl likes seeing power over footwork especially when you do something like that crazy hat routine vero busted out but i gotta say props to born for keepin it fresh
Even though theres no winner everyone thinks Vero " won " cause hes doing a lot of crowd pleasers while borns being hella technical and hitting the beats. Which to average eyes may not be as pleasing but you can see vero giving props to it.
@Aminder7 Lets clearify. You don't judge which Bboy is better by one match. This isn't a card game, there is no definite "better". Especially in a exhibition match. You said Vero is the better "overall" Bboy you could not be more wrong. As for Born's flag it wasn't always his signature move. It was a headspin sidechair grab. Even though he's done flag for years its one of the most unique combos out there. Bboys arely have something so special. His Footwork? B1 and Footwork Challenge Winner.
sometimes u don have to touch all the concepts of dance.. its about question and reply format of a battle. vero started with a question first and born simply didn't have the moves to answer...
born's first set was groovy though. obviously he didnt show technique like vero did for this entire battle, but his style was there(maybe not the best for a battle called match one skill). regarding him joining mzk and making all his sets short and choking on the end for most of them, what you guys all say about that, i agree. but shoot, that just makes him a true freestyler and yes, im pretty sure hes still one of the best beat killers
It's obvious Vero wanted it more and that's why Born got smoked. Skill level only goes so far, it just becomes a matter of how hungry you are. If there was a hook at the end of the line worth it for both bboys I'm pretty sure the battle would've been epic.
Mai gad loco! peazo video que has subido loco el amo xD
Songs:

1:13 OMFG!!!! dude, i can't believe they brought match one's skills back again, so dope!!

THOSE HAT TRICKS WAS SICK
HOLY SHIT! That hat trick that Vero did amazed me. Both did dope.
man gotta love that hat trick!!
Born's toprock is hella clean.
dooope battle!
Vero is on the rise baby
THANK YOU!! God seriously no one noticed that he wasnt using his old style. He was trying something new. And just to point out being clean si one thing but style is another. Style is power. And I also agree with others on him not trying as hard.
Damnnnnnn... What a battle! :)
Vero is a beast!!!
that hat trick was sick...he killed born with that
@MrPikaparka1
Not your personal opinion, also your professional opinion. That's good judging. How long were you in the scene?
3rd song is Bernard Pretty Purdie - Soul Drums
After countless tries to pitch the original Soul Drums to match this version i've come to the conclusion that this is an different recording. My guess is it's Soul Drums on Bernard Purdie's Jazz Groove Sessions In Tokyo, the last track on the vinyl version of that album
Wow, Born got murdered pretty bad. Vero just killed it with the hat trick. Fucken dope battle!
It's called a bboy lifestyle. Being in hip hop, you have to encompass all elements...swag is just another sub-element to the 4 main elements. BORN SMOKED, BORN SMOKED , BORN SMOKED
Vero was really great and dope...He took it for sure..But Born is the best for me!!!!
Sometimes you win sometimes you lose!!!!
what version of bernard purdie - soul drums is the last song??
and oh yea remember, born is also, like i said "also" in mighthy zulu kingz, so its all about flavor, footwork, bringing it back to oldschool but with originality, and dancing to the music....for all of you out there who thinks why born didint pull out amazing power like vero did....
JINJO CREW !!!!!
BORN SMOKED
but yo, you gotta admit, that moving three step was so dope, ahaha
That may be the case, but what I'm saying, is that he's never shown any signs previously that that's the way his dancing works. Plus, I'd like to believe he's sets would be better than what was displayed here.
It's all good and fun till Vero picks up his hat.
woooo vero was killin it. big ups to both though. keep it raw. loving it.
NICE FLOW from Vero.....!!!!
I liked Vero's set at 1:44 the best. He started with some power in time with the organ, and then finished with clean footwork in time with the beat.
Wow veto came prepared, he was hitting it hard.
i love this crowd
how long u been breaking for ?
I cannot explain how sick that battle was born with his flava vero with that vero style fuck definitely gonna put this in favorites
dummy3300 what flava are you talking about ??
crush
veros hat segment was dope..
what crew is he from?
i know that had me going damn :P
nice battle
i love vero's use of his hat lol. I saw him at an 16 battle against gamblerz b4. Waht crew is he in again?
Props to both, during this battle Born's style looks so much different than what it used to be. I agree that his old stuff flows way better. The blow ups, I'm kind of tired seeing that as well but hey it's the man's signature move wait until he creates a new one then.
@TrapJBC thanks for the song's name
love the music, props to the bboys, hat thing killed it.
When I saw this the first time I thought Born got smoked bad but now that I saw it again after while, it was actually a pretty close battle.
Love & respect to the king of style: BBOY BOOOOORN!
Woah, Vero's tricks are fresh.
I'd like to see a three way battle between Kid David, Vero, and Lilou. That would be something.
vero killed that shit with the hat trick.
Quite old here. Both were good, but I'm sure u guys all notice Vero gave it out more with time set & energy. Born's set were too short. Pay attention to the time he went in & u'll see.
@Aminder7

Its pretty clear he didn't.
only thing is songs are so popular to use he's always gonna get a good song or one hes heard over and over.
The second song was soul drums, what was the first one? "Loser" somthing
yeah know what you mean, but i actually met born about a month ago and his new style is amazing. ppl cant see it now but just wait till you guys see him come out soon. hes rockin the music like non other :)
who did the judges give it to?
Who has the name of the second music?
he needs to go back to his 2005-2007 sets..hes just forgettin them all these days lol
Born won .!! Style ,Flava , Flow
The hat trick is fucking dope!!
IMO vero's sets have more power and style in them whereas born has more footwork and style with a bit of power, and i guess most ppl likes seeing power over footwork especially when you do something like that crazy hat routine vero busted out
but i gotta say props to born for keepin it fresh
@PhantomR32 nice one. ;)
vero was crazy dope
dude you can tell that,
vero went all out,
and born didn't even try.
whats the name of the first song?
what are the songs called?
Is like a variation of a UFO just spinning on the palm
@Krimzj That's a good way to view it lol.
Wow, you deserve a price
born 2005 (the gold YEAR)
one word ..........SMOKED
cool
wats d last song that starts at 2:35?
born is just too perfect
@Lzibbah Yeah of course. I'm not saying either one is better than either. I liked both sides. They are both dope in their own ways.
Even though theres no winner everyone thinks Vero " won " cause hes doing a lot of crowd pleasers while borns being hella technical and hitting the beats. Which to average eyes may not be as pleasing but you can see vero giving props to it.
dawg vero got hella dope.
iono wtf born was doin.
he was aight i guess wit his musicality.
but vero jus blew it up.
much props.
Vero's 2nd crazy ass set pretty much killed everything Born could come up with, VERO FUKEN KILLED IT
@Aminder7

His Footwork? B1 and Footwork Challenge Winner.
damn vero is crazy. I can 'Hat-trick' Battles being a category in the future lol.
first song?
Whats the the 1st song?
whats the song?
o shit !!
thats sick how born changes his flavor switching from mzk to rivers.
sometimes u don have to touch all the concepts of dance.. its about question and reply format of a battle. vero started with a question first and born simply didn't have the moves to answer...
ive never seen somone fuck up on the same move that many times even after doing it for over 3 years (born)
Born did get Smoked ....
I think its a Tie ...
And we all know that born is way better than that ... Big Respect to both bboys ... they're both Dope!
yeah he did but that was the first time I've seen it in from born in like two years
it seems that born isn't giving efforts on his sets from 3rd to last. tsk tsk tsk.
dope battle, i love the hat trick ! weew!
Anyone know the first song?
Why doesnt pron do any of his power moves ne more? i remember he used to do that move Vero did @ 3:05 did he gain too much weight or something?
born's first set was groovy though. obviously he didnt show technique like vero did for this entire battle, but his style was there(maybe not the best for a battle called match one skill).
regarding him joining mzk and making all his sets short and choking on the end for most of them, what you guys all say about that, i agree.
but shoot, that just makes him a true freestyler

@creepyfreak94 hey, this is the song at 2:40
veros hat combo was fkin ill
music makes you move - funkhouse express
That hat trick was rediculous!
damn i love that magic hat :P
Whats frist song?
It's obvious Vero wanted it more and that's why Born got smoked. Skill level only goes so far, it just becomes a matter of how hungry you are.
If there was a hook at the end of the line worth it for both bboys I'm pretty sure the battle would've been epic.
veros 2nd set was sick
they have totally similar styles. Trickx, Bang 9, Born, Vero and others have this style
3:15 born kills the beat :D
