'Tennessee Jack Ford', 'Cop Show Music' and 'London Broil' are all just fantastic.
Keb Mo is keeping Taj Mahal's legacy going! He's awesome
For sheer 70's coolness factor...."Cop Show Music" .....man!
Bon Temps Rouler!! I keep going back to that one! 👌
I second this one! I've copied that many times!
Homeskoolin' 16 "Bon Temps Rouler" should be in there
That’s a killer one for sure
any hillbilly stuff Tom does is crackerjack
one of my favourites for sure.
64 -“The Bird Returns”
I heard that one and I had to learn immediately. So soulful.
Corona Lessons ep. 20 with the bender is an all time intro, plus that wurli trick is just too good
"T.V. Dinner" that is by far my favorite!
yeah "TV Dinner" 👍
Thanks for movin' on and keepin' strong. Needed this.
These tips are priceless! Thanks
Oh man this will be awesome!
The “country boy can survive” instrumental thing you did was awesome! You the man Tom!
I second this!! Uncle Larry you have to play this one!!
I third this!
My thoughts exactly
Great playing tips. Thanks, Buk.
Thank you for the endless Joy!!
Great tuning tip. Never thought of that. Thanks!
Wow, thank your for your playing!!!!!Amazing
Loved “Tennessee jack ford”, “the missing piece”, and “existential fridays” among many others. You and Sarah should do a Genesis tune as an encore. Ep. 100 is gonna be pretty close to the anniversary of Homeskoolin too! Congrats uncle Larry!
Awesome tuning tip.. thanks Uncle L
Thanks for all you do Uncle Larry
Anything in Open G
#78 - Uncle Larry's Slight Return
#61 - The Smuggler
#27 - Tennessee Jack Ford!
If not, that's cool. Anything you play is worth listening to. I'll definitely be tuned in!
( RIP Michal Stanley )
You never fail to inspire me, Tom. Such soulful technique paired with great tones makes it a treat every time. Thank you!
That would be AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Super duper excited for a live 3 piece...Holy moly!!
Hey Tom - Man love the Cleveland radio station shoutout- really digging 100.7 fm shirt!
Thank you, Uncle Larry. It’s such a constant source of joy, listening to you.
My initial scan of some past episodes brought me to.....
Vol. 83 for the show intro, then into the first descending riff of Vol. 85.
Can't tell you how much JOY I get when i see these videos! I just smile. Thanks a million Tom!
Phewww that tone! Amen brother!
My next 15 minutes are set. Thanks Tom.
Once again, you dispense valuable advanced tips to us. Thank you! BTW, I love 3rd and Lindsley!
Damn good playing, Subscribed!
Ep.54 "Just cream please" I am obsessed with it.
That's what she said.
Me too ... :-)
wow. What a cool guitar and as usual you do it justice. Your chordal knowledge, fluency just blows me away. I count myself lucky if I can take one thing per video. Thanks man.
A band show would be amazing! Thanks for all you do for us Tom!
Hey Tom! Can't wait for the live stream, looking forward to seeing both of those firebird songs in all their glory!! Just have to hunt down some Rollin Rock for the show down here in Australia!
Cheers!
Jordy Scott
best tone ever God Damn and i have been here since this thing started
always a pleasure. cheers -s
That is a smoking Idea man. Some of the best shows I've seen were there. hope that pans out. Let's have a Bukovac Attack!!
Much respect...
I've recently binged all your schoolin' videos and so many details have stuck with me. The guitar being a planar instrument, finding triads, 12 fret above harmonics, keep it up and I'll become a good player!
This is my favorite guitar channel on all of CZcams! Amazing playing.🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Amazing content
Wow!; thanks for putting some colour into this Monday!
That's an amazing tip about the string tuning! Thanks a heap Tom.
Can’t wait for this 3rd and Lindsley show! Already in the calendar. Man I just thought of it but when you played Never My Love it blew my mind and I’ve been obsessed with it since. What a great song. Love the show Uncle Larry. Homeskoolin was one of the highlights of 2020 for me.
RIP Michael Stanley. Love the shirt, man.
That guitar is beautiful looking and has a great tone. Nice jamming too, as usual!
On of the best intro since the first episode 🥰...Stunning ! Cannot wait for the 110th video and live show on CZcams 👏 . Kindest regards from France. bélo
My favorite TB episode is the one where he picks up the guitar and plays something amazing....so pretty much all of them.
Your viewer appreciation intro on that custom PRS guitar was one of the most beautiful and soulful pieces I've heard you do. A bigger version of that would be killer.
Killer idea Tio..🤘🏾
I joined the Homeskoolin channel around the mid 30's and am just blown away from your playing. I think you can just randomly pick 10 of your intros and be good to go. Happy 100!
Ep. 68 “fresh cuts” is may favorite intro you’ve done! And his become one of my go to test drives when I pick up a new guitar. Also love both the intros you did with the red non-reverse firebird. Thanks for all the guitar lessons Uncle Larry!
I push 👍before watching❤
I'm totally stoked about the live show idea! Looking forward to it. Train Kept A Memphis! Light Up The Eagle!
Thanks BUK!!!
Wow, sick playing man. Just discovered you. Great stuff!
Thanks for the intonation tip, Tom. Doing it right now on a n ‘85 Fender acoustic I own
I dig this. Would love to see that show live.
Had never heard of Michael until a bunch of CZcams channels posted tributes to him. Sounds like he was a great guy and musician. Prayers to his friends and family. May he R.I.P.
I remember an intro that sounded like a cross between Jerry Garcia and Dickie Betts that I loved. Volume 8, Workingman's Bread.
That's one of my favorites. I would also add 12 strings and 12 packs, option anxiety with the dusenberg and Bed heads and rotors with the RA-200.
Beautiful Guitar
what a great player and channel.
This made my Monday, thanks Uncle Larry! Also, that Duesenberg sounds incredible!
I went back into my class notes, it's so hard to pick favorites cause they are all so different and special (like my kids ) but for me Corona Lessons #20 "option Anxiety" , Homeschoolin #35 "TV Dinner" and Homeschoolin #32 "Plexi Soul" would be my top 3. A live performance for the 100th show sounds incredible, like virtual "graduation day" for the HomeSchoolers! And please have Sweet Sarah perform with you if ya'll can swing it!
Damn that guitar sounds great. Can be heavy or chimey or jangly. Thanks for the super harmonics. Would love for you and Sarah to do More Fool Me at the show. Never knew the song until you guys did it and I still remember where I was standing when I saw that, a new fav.
just loved the 14th and 11th ep they were crazy and all those covers with sarah as well
Ep. 3 “Train-Kept-A-Memphis” is amazing.
Ha, you beat me to it, I feel the same.
Thats near the tippy top for me too.
Me too!
Yeah my favorite too. Love going back and watching that one
❤
Damn, that guitar is distractingly beautiful. Sounds as good as it looks. Fabulous touch, my brother.
O Man I am going to have to dig back there are so many good ones TB.
this was my fav opener for sure
the opening of volume 83 when interduce the your sessionman guitar ! AWSOME!!! Thank for the Great trips
I love the intro to #77. I also loved it when you did Never my love. Those are my votes. Thanks again for the lessons, stories, and great music!
Recently I’ve noticed a lot of other channels dropping your name and content (ability),to achieve higher status, others to give you compliments. I find this entertaining, seeing this balance. Thanks for the lessons. Be safe.
Thanks tom, that pressing down-string-bridge-thang saved my PRs one a minute ago. Miracle stuff.
I had your take on Taj Mahal's "Chevrolet" stuck in my head for like 2 weeks after that episode -- including that kinda prog-y opening you gave it.
I wore out that self-titled Keb'Mo album when it came out back in the mid-90s, real good stuff.
Thanks for the tuning tip!
Just because someone else had discovered it doesn't mean you didn't. And what's really cool is that now you told us about it.
So much useful stuff. Thanks Tom and can't wait for the 100 gig. I could listen to you play an egg Slicer. Play anything man you ooze goodness
Bed Head & Rotors - amazing. Love to see the Yamaha back in action. Thanks for the inspiration!
That guitar is sweet! Sounds great 🙀
So sad to hear Michael Stanley died. When are we going to hear some Trip the Witch? Love your channel Tom. And thanks for the tuning tip!!! Priceless
Cheers, dude! 💕
I saw Travis Meadows at 3rd and Lindsley. One of the most moving performances by one of the most soulful songwriters I have ever seen. I sure wish we could be there to see you live! Can’t wait to watch the streaming.
Super cool, man
I´m really excited Uncle Larry, what you'll do on No 100 !!!
That opening, unreal!
Definitely Cop Show Music! I’ve been a devout fan ever since. Thanks for all the sunshine Uncle Larry!
Ep. 58 "London Broil" is my personal favorite. I go back and listen to that all the time.
Vol. 64 “The bird returns” is my personal favourite must have listened to that a hundred times. Last week’s “Open door” also blew me away that solo you played hit me right in the feels
Digging that Duzzi! Cheers Tom!!
Tom - thank you so much for the Muscle Shoals visit. That led me to look more into the history. Yep, amazing stuff went down there. Anyone interested, check out the 2013 Muscle Shoals docu up on YT Movies (one of the best documentaries of any kind I've ever seen). Includes interviews with some of the biggest artists to record there (Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, the Stones, .. it's a long list) as well as with the original Fame/Swampers players, and Rick Hall, who started it all. You'll see the building Uncle Larry showed us. You'll feel the place. I hadn't had much pull to go to Alabama before, but now ...
Love your whirly thing ! Thanks. I just discovered your channel, thanks to Brett papa. A lot to see, hear, and learn. Thanks by advance
Intro to Vol. 27 Tennessee Jack Ford remains my all time favorite. Go back to it all the time. Love all your episodes, but this remains at the top.
absolutely sensational
Firebird Lullaby for sure! Still one of my favorites from our classroom time with Uncle Larry.
Got to be the Taj Mahal jam you done on your new Duesenberg. Inspires me every time i watch it man.
Hey Tom,
First and foremost, thank you for the wisdom and lessons. I look forward to them, they are a bright spot in my day.
It does get to be a huge rabbit hole some days. You mention a name or two, a song or two, then 4 hours later... I have googled everything I can on the subject.
As to what to play for the 100th, ANYTHING! I truly enjoy everything that you play. Ok, maybe the Hank it up, that one was really cool.
Honestly though, it don't matter. Just getting to hear and watch you play will be awesome! I have cleared my calendar for April 9th.
Maybe, hopefully, one day when this virus crap is gone! The 200th show can be huge, and all of us subscribers, can make a pilgrimage, and fill the house.
If we ever do get a chance to meet, which would be way frickin' cool. The first case of Rocks is on me!
So cool harmonics. Would love to hear you live!!!
3 awesome tips in one episode, tuning, pitch harmonics (knew but you took further), and the wurly thing. Thanks!
Man my son lives in Nashville - we love 3rd and Lindsley - on 4/9 I'll be 3 weeks past my 2nd Covid shot and my son after his first! What a treat - first time out in a year- we'll keep a look out for tix. This is too cool. Thanks!
That last chord melody is from episode 69 title firebird lullaby. The feel on it is amazing!!
It’s the first thing I learnt from your intro jams!
The beginning of Volume 27, "Tennessee Jack Ford" was killer. It needs lyrics. Also, Volume 87, "The Big Apple" is so melodic and beautiful. Not sure how a band could do it any better the little bit is so cool.
