I feel like real film criticism is a dying art and you're one of the few actually keeping it alive. Most critics these days are just people with no real understanding of film history who just stumbled upon a large following. I appreciate your understanding of the medium and its history. Every few years you can expect another movie about Elvis and Marilyn, same ole thing. It would be neat to make movies about legendary musicians like Frank Zappa or Neil Young or Captain Beefheart or say early Pink Floyd for example. THere needs to be more diversity of biographies there.

The female gaze is indeed more complex and multi-layered because women are able to "look at" and perceive in several ways at once: apart from how they perceive men or even one another, most women are also perfectly capable of looking "through the male gaze" as well, either with other women or with men who are "foreign" to them.

What I appreciate is how simplistic your videos are. I’m usually the type of viewer that enjoys visual aids that reinforces the content creators commentary. However, you manage to convey your thoughts in such a concise and comprehensible manner, all with minimal cuts too. It reminded me of early 2010 era CZcams where creators would express their thoughts in a minimal format and it would be enough to gain a decent following. Congratulations, you deserve an audience! 🎉
Certainly, most people in English-speaking societies have completely forgotten how to sit on the ground, since the Romans and western Christians (Catholics and Protestants) taught everyone that they too were worthy of furniture, and that it wasn't just royalty or nobility, like in other societies. Though I notice that among Americans, there is a dichotomy between Hispanics, where the ones who are more white always want to sit on chairs, while the ones who are more native are perfectly ok with sitting on the ground.
I often disagree with you but I respect your opinions and how well you articulate them more than 99% of youtubers and even professional criticism sites! Congrats on your channel's success!

You’re unique in the film reviewing section of CZcams and one of my go to favourite films critics because you show unparalleled depth in your analysis and bring out elements and concepts from within a film that no other film critique is doing, not to that degree. There are occasions that my views don’t line up with yours on certain films, filmmakers, actors or filmmaking style interpretations yet I am always glued to what you have to say because you offer a perspective which I haven’t explored; so whether I agree with the verdict or not I still respect it because it’s always well thought and structured, many times it changes my own perspective and thus making me a better and more mature cinephile. Wishing you all the best on your way to 100k+ milestone.

Everybody loves film. Some more than others. Its an art form different media but nevertheless an art form no different than going to a museum and looking at a painting watching the story unfold on the subject painted on canvas. I too, love to paint as well have a passion for movies. Love to listen to you speak about film and the folks that put it together. I also love when you interject a little of yourself into the picture. I find that we have some of the nuances of your outlines in common.
