Quick Tech ™©® : Free The Flow Restrictor with La Marzocco’s Linea PB

  • Well it’s Tuesday again so that means we’ve got another Quick Tech ™©® for ya! Today Frankie is back to show us how to remove and unclog the flow restrictors in the La Marzocco Linea PB. Don’t forget to turn off the machine and incoming water supply or you’re signing yourself up for a shower.
    Tools:
    - 4mm Allen Wrench
    - 2mm Allen Wrench
    - Adjustable Wrench (just in case)
    - Bar towel
    Steps
    - Turn off machine
    - Turn off water supply
    - Remove cup tray, spill guard, and control panel cover
    - Use 4mm Allen wrench to loosen brew valve screws
    - Set brew valve to the side
    - Use 2mm Allen to remove flow restrictor
    - Soak flow restrictor in descaling solution
    - Rinse restrictor and check that it’s clear
    - Reinstall flow restrictor
    - Reinstall brew valve
    - Turn on water supply & power to machine
    - Reinstall spill guard, cup tray, and control panel cover

    My KB90 is not counting pulses in one group. I already changed the pulse meter and pulse count stays in 0. Checked impedance in the flow meter and looks good. Could it be a problem with the flow restrictor? I mean water seems to flow perfectly through the group. Please help!
