    You know Tammy the interviewer wanted me to go down each employer and give him the details it was so confusing as I thought I was to give him the elevator 60 sec speech and I then u got it as to all he had to say can you talk about your resume experience but initially it was like what you want me to say... I think it was just lack of clear communications, but I got it.

      It was received very well among other tips I used from your other videos. The sr. HR made an appoint for me to see the hiring authority on the spot.
      I believe you have very a powerful argument/presentation in this video.
      I am a senior/hiring manager. If someone present this to me with the right tone, I would be very interested in that person to be on my team.
      You Provide great, effective and useful approaches to the dreadful interviewing process.
      Keep up the great work!

    Tammy sometimes the hiring manager asks for more specific information (highlight reasons for leaving etc.) when they say walk me through your resume. How would you structure your response if this is how the question is asked?

    • @TammyKabell-crc
      @TammyKabell-crc  Před 3 lety

      Hi Kerrie! Thank you for your question - the main thing to keep in mind when telling them reasons, you still have to spin it positively and above all else, make sure you do not bring any personalities into the reason. It can't be because of a bad boss or coworker. The hiring manager doesn't know you, so they don't know if you honestly DID have a bad boss, or if you were the problem.
      One of the best reasons for leaving your current or most recent employer is because you want more of a challenge and you wanted to find something new in order to grow in your skillsets and as a professional.

    60 second first impression is equally incorrect on my view. I'm prefer more of a 2-3 minute approach. First minute of qualifications, experience and significant achievements. And second minute of what expertise I can bring to the role.

    • @TammyKabell-crc
      @TammyKabell-crc  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi MG - I think the 60-second rule is a flexible one. Just remember that you usually have at least 30 minutes to tell your qualifications and your achievement stories, so make sure you don't get too assertive and try to talk too much in the beginning, so much so that the interviewer gets bored, or overwhelmed, which can easily happen if you say too many numbers too fast in the beginning.
      The accomplishments, in my view, are best told as stories with context, which each of those stories being 3 to 5 minutes long. What's your opinion on how to frame you accomplishments?
