  • Fendt 1050 with 750 triples!
    Fendt Weighing in at 52,500lbs
    John Deere 560R weighing in at 59100lbs.
    Again, this is not a tractor to tractor comparison, this is just having some fun. 🤷‍♂️😜

And then maybe the Case and Deere quads against each other. And then maybe three 4840 John Deeres against the Fendt. Just for fun ;) I don't really have a bias, I just like tractors in general and am a curious sort and apparently lack things to do. Haha

    The fendt may have triples on the rear and doubles on the front, but you have to acknowledge that the tread on the tires looks way more aggressive than the track tread on the JD. Also, if I’m correct, the tracks are meant for better float and not necessarily digging into the ground for more traction. Still fun to watch no doubt.

    • @noahpedersen5714
      @noahpedersen5714 Před 3 lety +4

    • @massiveretard176
      @massiveretard176 Před 3 lety +21

      @@noahpedersen5714 no he’s correct, these tracks are actually designed for more float, less compaction but as a trade off once they get mud in them they are extremely slippery (as you can see in the vid as once they start slipping they completely let go). On the other hand the tyres have much more tread and tend to dig into the ground more and (so long as they don’t go slick) start gaining even more traction. And the fact that the fendt had triples probably means it has a comparable footprint as well.
      I could be entirely wrong but from my armchair farmer understanding that’s how they work.

    Mike I would base a tractor buy from this video - but the JD weighs more and has HP on the Fendt and did not pull it at all - lost traction - HP to the ground is what its all about. The Wheeled tractor put is lesser HP to ground better and held its own.

    • @mikemitchell2554
      @mikemitchell2554  Před 6 lety +1

      Randy Spears... I agree.. Hp to the ground and weight per square inch is what's important. I would like to try that 2 track against our case quads. Then our case quads vs the John Deere 4 Track, then the 2 track vs the John Deere 4 track. And of course I ll throw the Fendt in there where ever I can. Even if know it will loose. I don't have any colour biases. :)

      EthaN... It did loose power.. Well not really I guess, the engine didn't.... but the transmission just ceased to rotate haha.. It's like either we powered out the pumps on the transmission or it has a safety limiter in it? Tho it did allow it to slip and dig down a bit, but not much..

    It is hard to compare this 2 tractors, one with wheels and other with tracks. Deere is in advantege here, more hp, better traction, Fendt its lighter and its struggle to put traction on the ground, because he have to wide wheels and he cant make them spin, thats why engine struggle.

    • @mikemitchell2554
      @mikemitchell2554  Před 6 lety +6

      mr NASCAR... But how could you expect that? The Deere out ways it, and has 60hp more!.. That Deere should have pulled that fendt backwards forsure... (maybe not easily) but most definitely should have.. I have no bias here, I just like tractors in general and will put all colours to the test! . But if anything, this made the Deere look bad..

    • @mrnascar9129
      @mrnascar9129 Před 6 lety +8

      With duals and triples the fendt has a much larger contact patch to the ground so traction is in favor of the fendt at and the 60hp really don't mean that much . I have no idea what the weights are on either tractor

    • @mikemitchell2554
      @mikemitchell2554  Před 6 lety +5

      mr NASCAR.. The John Deere out weighs the Fendt by solid 2300lbs... And there's still is more square inch of rubber on the ground with tracks than the tires. And hp plays into it as well, because I didn't have enough power on teh Fendt to continue to spin all 4 consistently. The transmission completely powdered out (stopped) Or there was a power reducer built into it to protect the transmission - which I am looking into.

    • @mrnascar9129
