    BGC High Street New Year Countdown will have South Korean group Red Velvet perform live. Back in the days Ayala, Makati is the place to be for New Year Countdown but nowadays every district in Metro Manila competes with their own version. BTW you should check out the Ayala Triangle Festival of Lights in Makati happening daily until Jan 14 from 7pm-10pm with 30 minutes intervals. It’s an amazing lights & sounds show for the holidays.

    on Christmas day, children will received all their gifts (usually money) from family and neighbors. everybody will meet their family, extended family and friends…so only few will go to work (tricycle driver). this is very special day ..

  • @Xhin229
    @Xhin229 Před 6 měsíci +7

    Many people go out during Christmas day to visit their family and friends to share blessings with each other (either material or monetary gifts).
    Parents bring their kids to their Godparents for "aguinaldo" or "pamasko".
    But in the recent years, some people are staying away from this tradition in order to be more economically considerate to their family and friends. Christmas is the season for giving but it is also the season of too much expenditures.
    In my house, we receive gifts like sacks of rice and grocery items like ham or just the typical ingredients needed for party foods. Instead of hogging it for the next year, we share the blessings to our sanitary workers, guards, our "suki" tindera, good neighbors or with the people who made our year blessed.

    Many Filipino people unite on New Year's Eve, which is on December 31, to celebrate a midnight meal known as the Media Noche. It is also common to stay awake to greet the coming of the New Year. New Year's Day is also characterized by Filipinos lighting fireworks and making a lot of noise to drive away evil spirits.

Go to Leslies ( the bulalo photo is by yours truly) . On the way back treat your kids to Enchanted Kingdom. Also the reason why there were many people on the streets on dec 25 was because most of them especially kids are on their way to theri uncles and aunties (ninong/ninang) to collect gifts.
