      Well, if you read at least one source book on design, you'd get all of this and more. Start off by reading something. Don't worry less than 10% of designers don't read even a shampoo label. And, I think you're not making the most of your school and that's... unfortunate.
      I have just started to read a book by Kimberly Elam "Grid Systems: Principles of Organizing Type". If you're interested in a complete approach.

    Thanks mate! I'll keep the "Hierarchy" in mind. One thing is the best part when comes to attraction in a design is to make the main image attractive in a creative way. And I though of Photoshop Manipulation 😉 If it's Typography, then Illustrator.

    The hierarchy point is simple common sense. There is no requirement to bombard, and mesmerize, the viewer, relentlessly, with motion graphics. Subdued, and subtle communication, will come over as more assured.

    I appreciate that you put a lot of work into these videos but I would really prefer if you simplified it to use 2-3 effects; the text and images constantly bouncing around seems "over-designed" and should actually be a topic for one of these videos. Simplicity is key.

    I really enjoyed this video, and many of your other videos! This is not my field (SW dev), but the content is super insightful! Thank you for sharing this content! One thing I'm most curious about is what tools do you use to create the fluid animations for your videos? Whatever the tools are, I would like to explore them, because the results are really nice, and I think this combination of visual design/animation with voiceover is a compelling way to present content.

    Not to be super critical. In the intro, the word importance is missing the "T". we are so used to the word we don't "see" it. I caught it on the third time I viewed it with the idea of making notes. Your videos are so well-crafted and focused. I'm an artist producing art images and am trying to apply graphics design ideas to my art production. Not exactly easy sometimes.

    Excellent intro/overview. I'd love more detail: when to use what for heirarchy, how much contrast in size, color, etc. between levels of heirarchy works under what circumstances, stuff like that. (Oh, while you're at it, why not just whip up a Uni-level design course just for me . . . ) Great vid ;)
