Same here in Southern Missouri until mid summer at least.
If you cut in Florida, your blades are dull after the first pass of your first yard lol.
I just found your channel, you got a new fan, keep it up!
Oh plus the sandy soil you have down there makes tough to keep blades long
@@PlemonsLawnCare I’m actually at the mower store getting my blades sharpened right now lol
@@seanslawns have to get you one of these czcams.com/video/3oGkuZHeseU/video.html
We start mowing around 9am . The dew on most of our lawns start lifting around 9 and is all gone by 10. We dont have too many lawns with clover or crab grass at least not much in the yards 🤷 It is so miserable early in the mornings here . I'd have to change my shirt 3 times with all moisture lifting up 🥵 I just hate sweating so much. Good video man 👍
Yea sucks to sweat when you haven’t even started working yet😂
Good job man! I hate all the dew we have lol. Stay hydrated in the heat.
Yea man it’s tough but we do what we gotta do right
Nicely done sir! The Southern morning dew is tough for sure...makes the grass like it just got a heavy rain and it is def sticky. Keep up the good work buddy👊👍
You got that right! Thanks
Keep up the great work brother
Thanks, will do!
Here in Missouri we got fescue grass we only have to wait til it dries which is a couple days depending how hard or often it rain but yea usually a couple days around 1 or 2 than it's good and dry and best part safe to mow 😀 have a good day and nice video
Thanks for sharing here it never fully dries in the humidity is what gets us
i like to mow mornings so i mow with the dew
I deal with the same issues here in upstate SC. I switched to an aftermarket sunbelt blade on my Ferris that cuts a good bit better on wet grass. Also much cheaper than factory blades 🤗. Crabgrass is still an issue. That stuff is wet and sticky on the last yard of a sunny day when it hasn’t rained in a week
Yea man I’ve never really found a way to keep crab grass from clumping under the deck
Nice job brother.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks Joseph I appreciate it
Yes in pa we try to start early but I would say everything is wet till about 10 or 11 sometimes worse. We mow it anyway double cut if necessary. I’m not the boss tho I just take orders lol😂
NE Texas at 10:30 this morning it was so wet that my zero turn packed the deck. It’s not fun and your correct about ruining a set of blades.
It is miserable for sure when it does it too.
Great video we mow when there’s dew on the grass it doesn’t hurt our blades
Wet grass dulls your blades faster then you think brother. Doesn’t hurt the just dulls them quicker
Here in Texas we have dew like that in the mornings but it dries out pretty quick. First couple properties in the morning are sticky and wet then its good to go. The sun is just unbearable here. You could fill a 5 gallon bucket with water and throw it out on the lawn and it would dry up / soak in immediately and you could mow over it. We deal with drought more than anything here during the summer. Hard to even keep the seasonal color looking good without constant watering. TX Department of Ag took a temperature reading on a hard surface in the sun a couple weeks ago in Orange TX, it read 146* F.
Yea I’ve seen Texas is blistering hot this year too
I know you have been around the block or two with mowing for a lot of years probably longer than I have been in business with Lawn care. I was just wondering on those faces the stand on and Isx 3300 how do they cut pair to exmarck or Toro? just curious because I am looking at some Ferris mowers and I really like the layout of them and the suspension. If you could give me a little more information about him I’d be great.
We are coming into the dew time here in florida least where i am. and like you dew is dew and you just mow. Now i dont like to mow if it just rained and things are socked but thats different. As we all know mowing wet grass really isnt the best but if you stuck to that then never get anything done. What chute blocker you running? You going to any of the events this year?
Very true. I am running the quick chute and I really like it. I’ll be at the expo again this year for sure.
@@PlemonsLawnCare im trying to figure out if i can make it. Being solo guy makes it hard to take multiple days off. Really want to go and also have to figure out lodging
How many hours did you put on ferris z3x 61 inch with the kawasaki 850 efi? I bought one this past week. 72 inch kawasaki with 396 had. Just wanted to see how many hours you had.
Been so long since I’ve had a Kawi on a Ferris I believe I was somewhere around 1100 when I sold it
WNC same way
Yes sir it is. Hope you’re doing well brother
Morning dew is awful all summer long buddy. To me it’s not only how it clumps up and sticks to the deck, but finding a place to kill your blades where all that crap just let’s go from the deck and falls out. It’s awful! By the way, you on Shugart? I’m out of Chickamauga, but go all over NWGA and Chattanooga.
Oh yea that is the worst for sure. Yea this was off shugart. We mow a couple in chick and go as far north as hixson and south to cartersville
2 to 3 weeks? We're here in Oregon and we haven't seen rain in 4 months. No dew here brother.
If you need some I’d be happy to send it your way. First 2-3 days we haven’t had any
Oh yea its a mess fest up until about noon with that wet Bermuda. Makes a horrible mess but its got to be done. Have to use my 9010T to bust up all the clumps in the yard.
Yea and just trying to get off my legs isn’t easy either 😂 stuff is like super glue sticks to everything lol
@@PlemonsLawnCare told one of my customers it’s like green snot when it’s wet.
@@GwinnettLawns 😂 and that is the truth too lol
Same issues here in NC👎just have to work through it, and gets better around 10. Hate the crab grass for sure👎Summer time blues
Yea it is Todd
Rock Spring , mow it wet . Lol
Have to do what you gotta do right
Ummmm it's not Morning Dew it's Mountain Dew Dunmy!! Juat sayin😂😂😂 Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!!!
All good brother. hope you're well the Mountain Dew is in the coola bro hahaha
Wet grass cutting 😮😮 that is a strange thing to have to do but the grass is not waiting on you to cut it
That’s right Robert
@@PlemonsLawnCare yeah buddy 😎 👍👌
Sitting around waiting for grass to dry costs me money, so unless it's an absolute downpour of rain it's getting cut no matter what.
I couldn’t agree more brother.
I mean what I say & I say what I mean except 90% of the time when I'm making stupid sh!t up to male ppl. laugh😂😂😂 I commneted before vudeo was over. So with that being said, how mnay tims do you fight the urge to get a Big Buford when mowing that property?!?! Didn't think this Yankee knew abiut dat did Ya?? Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out again!!
Everytime I mow there I want one because they are never open when I’m there hahaha
Thats why I love scags because they cut the best In wet grass
I have never tried one Jason. Haven’t had any local dealers to me until just recently and they are small and don’t have any demos.
The smell, sound, and look of wet grass makes me puke LOL
Haha me too lol
These past few weeks have been a sh*t show down in gwinett. 95% of my lawns are treated and they all were recently fertilized. yay!
Same here in Braselton
@@jefferylawrence9419 hell if you work out in braselton youve probably seen us. we work out there and in the hamilton mill/dacula area mostly.
Oh yea looks like you haven’t been there in a month after a couple of days lol
