    I've had a lot of mixed messages about this, apologies if it's a stupid question but will the recipients of a payment be able to see your home address when using a personal account?

    • @Jotform
      @Jotform  Před 2 lety

      No, unless you are asked to provide your shipping address. PayPal actually shows this on the checkout page. Example: link.jotform.com/bdrZCmggnV. So when you use our PayPal Personal integration, you can enable "Require Shipment Address" in the payment settings link.jotform.com/agMnIKMm7J so the payer's PayPal shipping address will be captured. Here's an example email notification: link.jotform.com/WTMSsKzH7v. If you have any other questions, make sure to contact us at www.jotform.com/contact/ so we can help. Have a good one!

      Hi Daryl, You can use either of the two payment tools, whichever works best for you. But, if you're running a business or someone who operates under a company/group name, you should consider PayPal Business to enjoy additional features. Check this out www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/article/what-is-the-difference-between-personal,-premier,-and-business-accounts-faq2258.

    Hello, I have to question
    Please I will like to ask about PayPal business, am thinking of creating one for my online e-commerce store, but am afraid to open one, because they requested for passport or driving licence and national identity to verify, if for example I use one this things to verify, will PayPal be charging me tax automatically, or will i be paying tax for any payment transaction? Second question. Do I need to register a business name like the name of my online store before I can use PayPal business?
    Thanks for your time😊

    • @Jotform
      @Jotform  Před 2 lety

      Hi, According to PayPal, the PayPal Business transaction fee is 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. You can check this page www.jotform.com/online-payments/compare/ to compare the transaction fees of all the available payment integrations. You can open a PayPal Business account as an individual/sole proprietor if you do not have a business name. Please check this article to learn more www.jotform.com/paypal-business-account-guide/. To clarify, the additional $30 monthly fee is for the PayPal Payments Pro (PayPal Pro in the Form Builder) which is available on PayPal Business Account. Here's a reference: www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/paypal-payments-pro#faq. If you are not using it, you will not be charged with this fee. If you have any other questions, let us know at www.jotform.com/contact/ so we can help. Regards!

      It's any of the two. You can use either your personal Paypal account and integrate it with the Paypal Standard/Personal payment tool or you can have a business Paypal account and integrate it with Paypal Business payment tool.

    Hello. Wow! you answered and write back to everyone. I am impressed! You said personal or business acct, paypal would charge the same, 2.9%+flat fee. I have sent money through PayPal to other using paying to "friends and family" method and neither of us get charge the 2.9% + flat fee. How come? Do we only get charge when we pay in other format other than "friends and family"? Does business account have "friends and family" option too? Thanks in advance for your help. Someone also mentioned that if we don't want people to know our email address, make up a "junk" email (of course we have to be able to get access to this acct), but if it's a buiness, wouldn't you want people to know your real business address? I don't understand this. Do you?

    PayPal is only giving me the option to use on twitch as a business account and not a personal account. Should I go ahead and change it?
    I ask because on my current settings on my twitch livestreams,nobodies donations are coming up on my alerts, so I went to streamlabs to see what's wrong, and I don't have my PayPal account connected.
    I am doing that now, I just added it, but before I can go ahead, it's just giving me the business option. Is this a good thing?

    Thank you very much for your very good information!
    However, PayPal closed my account for outgoing payments when I was using my PayPal account (registered in Denmark) when I was in Germany. This was a few years ago. It was a mess to get settled and PayPal told me I could only access my account when in Denmark.
    Well, I still have the need to operate my account from any country I am visiting.
    Would you possibly know if this still is an issue with PayPal, please?

    You explained that really well , thanks a lot! I'm wondering in what way it is handy though to go ahead with a personal account when you're a small business, as people can't make small payments to your account as easily, like through in-person-payments right?
    What 'easy' option would customers on, lets say markets, have to make a 50 euro direct payment?
    Thanks!! Anouk

      Here's what PayPal says about it "You can add a bank account to one PayPal account at a time. However, if approved, you may be able to add it to a second PayPal account. You will be informed when linking the bank to the second PayPal account if you have been approved."
