Hi Victor, what a wonderful video - thank you so much for following the journey towards the exhibition. Jo's cakes really were as delicious as they looked!
Jo here! Looking forward to tomorrow, I'm baking raspberry and almond slices as we speak! See you in the morning 😁
Your paintings are beautiful!
@@BenmoTheArtist great artworks! Loved them!
I just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know how much I enjoyed the video you shared featuring all the community characters and their involvement. It was fantastic to see how other small businesses in the community connect with people and contribute to the vibrant local scene.
Keep up the amazing work! Your videos truly bring the community to life.
Lovely what that gentleman said about the blueberry cake! ❤
Yes! Wasn't he charming - he "ultimately gave in to desire!"
- haha!
Beautiful paintings by Ben and Rootstock looks like a great place to shop and hang out, just what we need in these times ❤
This video was really excellent and inspiring. I am full of admiration for people taking the chance to carve out a vocation in a worthwhile field, rather than just pursuing a wage. That bike workshop was amazing!
Another great blog, thank you (I am even forgiving your slurp at the beginning!) . I remember when you had the tea towels printed, they are lovely and colourful. You need to get a stall set up on your cafe days and/or say how much they are on here and get them sold 🙂
Good to see that small businesses support each other.
That was a stonking cycle repair shol!
Loved the paintings ❤
Vic, you do more camera set-ups than anyone. I really appreciate the extra effort.
I noticed that as well (me, another filmmaker/editor over here!)
Such a lovely video and family, little William seems to be growing up with everyone.
Loving the old mill buildings. This blog was very interesting and good to have an insight of your day to day life x
I'm going to be living in a hired canal boat for 6 months from mid-September, and if it goes well I'll be buying one! Hope to see you out there maybe :)
Looks like your going to be buying a boat and when you do, we all want you to make videos about it. It's not that hard, neither is narrowboating, put the two together and lets hear your story. 👍👍👍
A lovely video. It's great to see how you are finding a community with like minded people.
Brilliant film making, Vic. Great energy and loved the paintings! Mixed with the cakes, lovely idea. Loads of serotonine!❤
Yes - if there's an award for youtube videos, this channel should be tops!
That was a seriously great video. Well done. Cheers
Fantastic it is how you change the format and just delight.. be it trains, wheels, cakes, mills.....BRINGS ME SMILES! Thankyou. Lucky Bollington to have such talent.
What an incredibly neat and organised tool wall!!!😮 Maybe that chap could sort out my kitchen drawers 😂
What a lovely vlog. So happy you are making such a special life for yourselves and great friends. I may say they are the ones who are lucky to have you three lol🤗
Also - if you want an easy, cheap way to make some space in that office: may I suggest adding a single, long, high shelf - just circling the top of the office. Frees up floor space & gives them an organized home. I like to use colorful wine boxes from Trader Joe's - they're cute & freeee! Then just plop a sticky note on whichever boxes need labeling, & voilá 👍🏽
The old bicycle brings back great memories. Back in the 1970s, Raleigh bikes were available in Canada, but a number of retailers bought from the company and branded them differently--at a slightly lower cost. I had a "Glider" which was a good, solid machine. By the time I sold it, it was upgraded to well beyomd its corresponding Raleigh model. It's hard not to tinker!
Perhaps so for rebranded TI industry bikes, but not the Reynolds 531 frames. They were sold under the Raleigh name. They were the *real* ones.
And that's what Victor has, which means that it's well worth improving and investing in. Looks like Pro V chainwheels, but I'm hard pressed to identify the cranks as TA. That's a very comfortable frame, btw.
Been following you for a long time now, and your videos are still fresh and very watchable. Really enjoyed this one. Hope that guy sold some of his paintings - they were really good. Thanks for posting.
The Gentleman that was praising Jo's cakes was Loverly 🤗
Great paintings hope the evening went well🤗
Love Sue ❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
My first bike was a 1980 Nottingham Raleigh with 28" wheels; 3 speed with chrome rods for brakes, not cables. At one point I had 20 English Raleigh's including a tandem i made from 2 - 28" 3 speeds that I had welded and used the extra 2 wheels for a trailer with a huge 3 foot square basket. It had a front and rear basket too. Darn thing was 17 feet long when finished. Wish I could make another one. Take pride in that Raleigh, it's one of the only brands to live the ages. I did all this from California...
Wow - sounds fantastic!
Another Great video thanks. Looked like you were enjoying that delicious looking wine Vic. Glad you didn't have to cycle home 🍷🍷
Awww lovely vlog ,really uplifting! Loved the lady sat by the canal ,just chatting to people ,so lovely and friendly x
Blackcurrants picked and jam made, enjoyed your Rootstock adventure see you both next weekend.
Pete and Lorraine
Beautiful to see the vibrant community life you are actively part of, if we could all live like that the world would be heavenly. Good on you all.❤😊🎉
Lovely paintings, lovely treats, and most important lovely people.
So enjoyed this behind the scenes video & meeting Ben & seeing the exhibition come to fruition. Those old mill buildings are amazing. I must try that blueberry loaf, now tha I have the cookbook. Have a good week guys.
Love the new bike, had one very similar back in the '80's/90's. Loving the films, it's a joy to see William growing. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Vic and Joanne, what a great Vlog. You are so lucky to know some amazing people, they are so far and distant to have them, Until next time ❤
My first “10-speed” was a Raleigh Londoner (now out of production) bought new in 1973 at a Foley's department store (now out of existence) not far from NASA's Manned Spacecraft Center (now Johnson Space Center). A heavy Reynolds butted-tube beast.Ultimate teen wheelie bike. Hit the balance point 65º to 70º ...it'd just float there effortlessly. Big fun.
Great Vlog again. Good to see the community and environment you are around. Interesting people, with amazing skills and life stories. Love your bike. The loaf cakes looked lush. Thank You for sharing
Testify brother! Give way to desire every time, hallelujah!
Another lovely and of course, groovy episode. What a nice thing to do, helping out with your friends art show. Cool work by the by.
Thank you so much for this lovely & interesting video!! I live very far away and it was wonderful to be transported to life in the UK countryside.😊😊😊

Really enjoyed this episode guys, not to say i don't enjoy all the others but great insight this one.
Macclesfield is a silktown, and most the mills in the area serviced the silk industry. I never would have thought, that when I subscripted to this channel that you all would have ended up in Macc.
We both really love the way your vids have matured and improved over the past few months. They were delightful before but these newer ones are just sweet.
Wow 😮
What a lovely video with some lovely people. All so creative in their own rights but all join together to make a lovely community. Cake always makes things good 😊
Great video. Love Ben's pictures and the blueberry cake with individual icing. Super excited to see our boat Cariad in the opening bit. She is a smart green and red. Really hoping that the cafe boat will be open when we are around soon. Those ducks are lovely but certainly tell you when it's time to feed them.
I watch a narrowboat video where they sell individual little cakes, they looked great with many various flavours. My question is why don't you do they same? It would be great to see yours would look like. Keep going you are doing a fabulous job Jo.😊
As always a fantastic vlog, looking forward to seeing the next one.
Very entertaining video. Ben is very talented and that was a great crowd for the opening.
Lemon curd and blueberry always goes down well at work coffee mornings
I love your Park Tool bike guy. A bank, and drawers of tools. Splendid. Good work on the bike. Good chopping Vic. That's everything acc to MPW. What is Rootstock ? A grocer-ers ? I gonna write a story about White Nancy
Loved the video, the old mill building and the paintings are lovely. How he did well from the exhibition, looked to be a fun night.
Great Video VIC, so interesting and very different, I really enjoyed it and of course as expected delicious cakes by Jo ❤
What a lovely video! Hope William feels better soon.
My husband built my 1947 Schwinn ..we powder coated it a Chinese red with purple spoke nipples but he still has to wrap my handlebars (it’s been years of “soon soon” noises ha). Happy Tour de France 2024 y’all
What an Absolutely, NATURAL Video !
Rrally Super. !
More please. !
Stu xx
Love your videos I get so immersed in them and they then finish.you do really show the nice side of the world we should be living in.
Loved, loved, loved this video. How amazing to know and be involved with such a lovely bunch of people. You're building a fabulous community for yourselves. So inspiring
Congratulations on another fabulous video. It was lovely to meet you both last weekend. You are such genuine people. Well worth the 3,500 mile trip from the US to sample your cakes. The ginger cake was delicious! I hope to visit again next year. Wishing you and your family all the best.
How lucky is this guy to have Holly backing him.
What…? The boat? Holly is the boat ! Did you mean Jo? 🤔
@@juneduffy4502 apologies, I am new to this and thought his wife was called holly. In my opinion, Jo is the star of the videos.
Ben even has a van Gogh HAT!!!
I just ordered your tea towel I thought they were gone can't wait to get it I love your cookbook
That was an adorable looking opening, cute town everything looks lovely!
What a wonderful vlog - Ben’s painting are beautiful! Hope William is feeling better 🥰
as someone who worked on heavy trucks in the field out of the utility box on my 3/4 ton pickup that dude has one sexy tool storage system, his paintings are reasonably good and those blueberry loaves looked absolutely delicious
Recycle,repair, re-use.😊😊😊
Great video. I made the lemon and blueberry cake yesterday from the book. Absolutely delicious 😋
I love this vlog. So great you got to chat to that local artist, Ben. What a talent! Also love the shop Rootstock. May have to come visit Macclesfield. May not bring the boat just yet as will take a while from London. Thanks so much for this. By the way little William is just the cutest.
Brilliant vlog..great to see you all..💯x
🌱 yay for enthusiasts and specialists ✨thank you 🌷
Coffee= Priorities.
And that tool shop was on point.
Great video. I too had a bike like yours. 531 Reynolds tubing, centre pull brakes ( better than disc brakes!) All aluminium. The perfect bike to be restored. Hope to see you all for coffee and cake on the 21st. Been before for your lovely cakes. Bollington is wonderful. Take care, see you soon. Pete and Caroline ❤
You make the best and most entertyaining videos.
HiGuess w hat? We were in Brest, France and Portsmouth, UK at the end of April! I told my husband that I was disappointed that we could not see you since we were on a schedile. But now knowing that you were in some of the same places that we were...darn! We were in Le Harvre, France ( not sure I spelled it correctly), Weymouth, UK, Breast, France, and Dover, UK. Maybe the next time we can see you. Blessings!
20 minute run, 15 of which are spent running back to fetch the camera from each shot 😂
Enjoying watching from Port ELIZABETH.South Africa. 😊
What an amazing colour coded tool collection 😲
A nice relaxing video Vic...great advertisement for Jo and Holly!! Hugs to William who is growing too fast and is so adorable!!

I love your channel the freedom you all give off the vibe out of the rat race, I also love baking .
Not watched many of your videos lately but this one was full of interest. Glad I decided to look again and good to see you establishing some roots in Bollington with nice creative people, but wont you be forced to move on soon? PS Good to have met you both in Whaley Bridge last year when on holiday in the Peaks.
Just watched for the second time and was even more impressed 😀👍⭐️
Reynolds 531 tubing, centre-pull brakes, drop handlebars, leather saddle (Brooke's?). The bike of my youth. Enjoy it :) (Is it a Record Ace?)
Love the bike - I also have a beautiful blue Raleigh - circa 1970 - love it!
good vid on channel keep up the cool vlogs on channel
Wonderful! Thank you for bringing us along!
ParkTool absolutely perfect 😊
Hello Joanna and Victor; I was very impressed with Vic's cuboid vegetable cutting; the cube is one of the Platonic solids; I think if he moves on to tetrahedral or even dodecahedral vegetable cutting then he might need counselling. The cakes looked amazing. Pete Glyde
Great video, cakes look delicious as usual
Camera work
Local cool skilled people
Great edit and story telling
Jo and William as perfect as ever
Big thanks ❤
Great vlog, keep doing what you do, it brings joy to the other end of the world.
Another great vlog. I have a Raleigh Technium 12 speed touring bike in cherry red. Bought it a long time ago. Rides like a Cadillac.
What a fabulous video -- really really artfully done. So captivating with the mixture of content, and the vedeography is masterful. Ben's work is beautiful and that bike workshop - wow! Thank you Vic!
