- Meet the weavers of Authentic Banarsi Saree. Banarsee sarees are a heritage of ancient India. On my quest to cover the stories of artisans of India, today I have reached the weavers of Banarsi saree in the famous city of Varanasi or Kashi in India. Today due to the demand of cheap products, banarsi sarees are also being made using powerloom. So, in this video I have covered the process of namking banarsi saree using both handloom and powerloom.
-----
Factory I visited :
H. N. Abdul Matin & Co. Fabrics Pvt. Ltd
Police station, J4/106, B-1, near state bank building, Pilikothi, Aalampura, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh 221001
-------
Banarasi saree mostly used for marriage in Bengali wedding, especially in red complexion. Thanks making a video on it.
Bengali sarees are not worn during weddings in Bengal
Very surprising
Priyanka hats off for showing the different weavers of India. Please share the name of the shop with the sarees and mention if they can sell to international customers
हर वस्तु को गहराई से जानने की कोशिश निःसंदेह प्रशंसनीय है । आप की मेहनत इस दिशा में सराहनीय है । धन्यवाद ।

Lovely vlog. Great explanation. Good hard work. Keep smiling and going.
You are doing a good job. Earning is of course important but you are doing a good deed by showing what you do.
This art is part of ancient India, which cannot be allowed to die out.
The main difference between Kanchipuram and Benarasi sarees is the twist of the silk yarn. Kanchipuram silk yarns are double twisted as opposed to the single twist of the Benaras silk yarns. This is the reason Kanchipuram sarees don't need the extra care accorded to the Benaras sarees and last longer.
Ma'am, u have covered most of the banaras..that I was searching for...very useful vlog...❤

Great effort, nice video 😊 keep going
Thanks a lot 😊
Thanks for this blog. As a Bengali I am a Benarasi lover. Many of my friends think Benarasi are too gaudy and there is hype about kanjeevaram. But in my opinion Benarasi rules. However I wish you would have shown the powerloom next to handloom product for a direct comparison.
Hey desi girl traveller. I visited Benaras about 6 years back and in the same galiyas which you have shown, I could hear only the sound of power looms everywhere 😮. Hardly any handlooms left . We should all try to conserve our heritage handlooms by buying only authentic stuffs. 🙏
