I'm guessing it's a critique of the American dream, considering it starts like 1950s do-wop and has imagery of a stereotypical suburban life. And the allusions to cannibalism near the end is a metaphor for how mainstream culture will eat anything it deems "other" alive, draining you of your individuality and leaving you "blue and cold".
