Your parents leave unexpectedly, entrusting you with their beloved post office. With only a handful of coins and guidance from a family friend, you’ll need to manage finances, serve the community and protect the family reputation, until they return.
The post office is a social hub for the village, and you’ll become a key part of the colourful community - one where each action could impact your relationship with the residents.
TAKE CARE OF THE FAMILY BUSINESS
Take on numerous tasks in the day to day running of the post office, including sorting packages for delivery, parcel wrapping, stamping letters, typing out emails, writing letters, and managing your ledger.
Other activities around the house include checking in with community members on the phone as well as following a multitude of cooking recipes, to bake villagers delicious treats.
MEET THE RESIDENTS OF WILLOWBROOKE
As well as the day to day post office customers, you’ll also get to know a handful of familiar faces from Willowbrooke. These quirky characters include the gregarious Magnifique and your steadfast family friend Pete.
Your actions, both in terms of how you interact with the residents of Willowbrooke, and how you decide to run the post office, will impact your relationship with each character. Deliver Magnifique’s camera as expected and they’ll be delighted. Take it for yourself instead, and you’ll witness a glimpse of Magnifique’s darker side.
Learn more about the residents of Willowbrooke through the types of parcels they send, the letters they write, and how they react to your actions.

Can confirm, falling out of the universe and reaching terminal velocity, as well as suddenly finding yourself in bed and blind are all known side effects of mail delivery. It's a tough business.

I like how Josh is so kind to the developers. I know they put a lot of effort in the games, but boy do they sometimes look like total crap. I can't imagine how this game can even be playable let alone enjoyable even when it gets out of early access...

The atmosphere was kind of cozy, and the concept itself seemed fairly fresh .
Yeah, the only issue is the lack of explanation, but even a papers please type escalation, where the letters got more complicated as the days went on would've helped

@@derfvcderfvc8714 It's NOT a clone of Papers, please. It has some elements of the gameplay similar to Papers, please, but to call it a clone is like calling every FPS game a Doom clone. Willowbrooke Post was one of the most unique experiences I've come across in the recent years, and the incredibly cozy atmosphere has me return to this video every so often. It's a major shame the developed dropped this project.

They really couldn’t make a Post Office game interested enough so they added a mechanic that makes lightbulbs shatter after 30 seconds

Great video as always. But I can’t imagine why people would want to play this. I can’t imagine coming home at the end of the day and starting this up. It’s like “work: the game”.
It's why I quit hearthstones, I'd be dead tired, neglecting my household chores, and I'm like, "crap I can't neglect my daily quests any longer! And I'll never catch up to the meta if I don't grind my 30 victories.."
Then I realized I had given myself a second job that I was paying for the privilege of doing. Modern gaming is insane. Used to you just played a game when you felt like it, and it was fun, the end. Now it's all work, either work simulators, or actual chores handed out daily by a game disguised as "bonuses."

Depends on the kind of person you are, what games you like, and the mood you’re in. I personally love “chore” games (farming sims especially, business tycoon sims).... but even I need long breaks every now and then.
Gotta admit the sound of the two deafening water drips every few seconds sells every video.
I gotta say, I love your videos. There's such a level of professionalism you bring to them. I can feel the amount of time and effort you put into making sure your content hits that same note of hilarity before you put it up. It's not just a let's play. this game seems to be almost as fun as watching paint dry. maybe one day my dream comes true and someone makes a simulator "watching paint dry". there could even be a dlc for watching different colors dry.

-There is nothing outside of the post office, all the customers are just eldritch horrors manifesting and your mail sorting is to please an unknown deity
-Your mere presence causes electrical systems to fail a la Paton Yewbeam
-No matter what you do, you can never satisfy the void's monetary demand
-Should you escape your prison, you fall endlessly through a void world of primary colors with a solitary post office at its epicenter
-The door is chained shut to prevent you from succumbing to the infinite beyond
-Void exposure can blind you for life, yet you still must carry out your job
-If you move too much you faint and wallow in unpaid debt for 24 hours
-Nobody knows where your parents went, and if there's no world outside the post office it's safe to assume that they're either falling, blind, and insane, or just part of the infinite ranks of the very ugly eldritch horrors

Lmao, the game has been removed from Steam. Looking through the discussions on the community page, it seems like the game was riddled with bugs and the devs just pulled the plug on it in 2021.
