Mt Shasta - Sunrise Summit, Avalanche Gulch - Unguided

There is so much to love about climbing Mt Shasta. Whether it's spending the night camping and waking up to a billion stars or simply the pure joy you get from being able to climb this massive yet magnificent mountain. It's really an unforgettable experience each time.
On this climb, we started from Camp (Lake Helen) by 1:30am and summitted just past sunrise around 630am. It took us roughly 4 hours to reach the red banks from Lake Helen at a decent pace. The last bit was windy but still gorgeous.
