  • I've never really had the urge to climb a big mountain, but last spring something changed.
Here's my Mount Shasta climbing story.

Congrats man! I had a similar experience with altitude sickness on Mt. Adams this past summer, that shit sucks. Huge props for pulling through and summitting!

Congrats! We summited 5 days later. Zero snow at Bunny Flat. Sure melts quickly!

We were able to summit on the same weekend june 16th. Still alot of snow at bunny flat all the way to the top. My gopro failed on that weekend, great seeing this video reliving the moment. Yes looking at the mountain driving to it seemed Intimidating to me as well I almost wanted to quit. Congrats! How long did it take you skiing down?

Thanks! Really fun adventure. The skiing probably took about 20 minutes down, much faster than hiking.

I've had success taking Ginkgo Biloba 2/3 days before your climb and the day of. Studies show it reduces altitude sickness symptoms. I failed climbing whitney taking Diamox. I went back the next year and made it to the summit while using Ginkgo Biloba!

  • @CrazySquirrelProductions

Cool video. What type of skis are you using? Altitude sickness? I can't even imagine!

Probably not as much as I should’ve. Some running, mountain biking, and hiking some lower mountains.

@@tavakessler Thank You...I am good at hiking, comfortable hiking for 6-7 hrs long hikes and 3-4 hrs of backpacking hikes, never climbed any mountain though, so I wanted to know What do you suggest since You mentioned It was also your first climb. With all the gyms closed these days due to COVID, not sure how can I prepare for it.
