It's crazy to me how big Pokémon has become. I remember growing up as a kid, I was one of the few children who watched or played Pokémon. I collected all the games up to Pokémon Black, and I collected the cards. But, they were in storage when I was 13, and we couldn't stay on top of the bills, so they sold all of our stuff. Vintage Pokémon items from late 90s to mid 2000s, Pokémon cards I collected over the years through events and video games that I personally spent with my chore money. I was devastated and didn't play for almost a decade. Still love Pokémon, but when I think back to all my things it generally upsets me thinking how much I could have made.

I think Pokémon is probably one of safer bets. It's an old IP that's been well established in many cultures for decades now. Not likely to fade over night

it's not like this is new. the card game has been around for more than 20 years, and people have been making money off them just the same as they do now. there's no "bored of these" if the franchise still thrives and releases content to enable this.

Probably because they are purposely inflating the prices of worthless paper cards 1000folds. But they sell to different markets for cheaper prices.
Ie. A USA medication pill will cost 2 pennies in India but $100 in the US. We'll I imagine this sort of like buying a bunch of pills for 2 cents in India and selling them back to Americans at a higher price, but still a good deal for them.
Except is this case they won't fcking kill you/throw you in a jail box forever... because you know the big drug companies don't mess around when it comes to their profits.

I collected baseball cards back in the day. Hand put together sets, spent lots of money doing it that way. Back then knew what my cards were worth and knew what the money cards were, but now. Last I checked according to Beckett price guide those same sets that cost me so much aren't worth what I put into them!
